GloboyMere I think they just gave lebron the idea or key for super teams, lebron opens the gate for superteams but durant made a path for joining teams that beat you but the goal are all the same... to make sure you have a superstrong team that is more likely to get rings. I have a question thou is the old laker team (Magic, kareem and Worthy) a super team or nah? I'm just asking.

02 01102 No team before the Miami big 3 were formed entirely through free agency. That's why those super teams are acceptable. Every team before that Miami big 3 built their team through shrewd drafting, trading, and a little free agency. Even the Boston big 3. The Celtics gave up SIX PLAYERS AND 2 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICKS to get Allen, and Garnett. That's the difference.

Jamaal Cashinout Garnett joined the Celtics in his 14th year, Allen his 13th and Pierce was already in his 12th. They put all the chips on the table for the 2008 season. And they were acquired through trades and Allen was released by the Sonics cause they were rebuilding, they didnt buddy up in their primes like Miami did

NBAbram pussy moves on the highest level and this cute guy who now is out of his 'comfort zone' and went to a extremely CHALLENGING new task and he is only winning because he is the best player in the world right now. Really? love your comment dude but how in the world KD can say something like that if he would be in front of me i would slap the shit out of him because I'm that mad. Lebron never had a chance to win a title and he wasn't the reason before he went to miami. lebron 2012 with that okc team if you replace him with kd would dominate for a decade nowadays and kd left that team. Fuck KD for disrespectin LeBron with that sentence and LeBron never get called baby lebron for his first years unlike kevin and mj. Why he still matched up with this all time great spurs team in 07 and he got criticised. Why you guys in average expect more from LeBron instead of the rest players maybe in history? He can't be great on both ends do everything like passing blocking stealing shooting cutting ... it is that much and more. he is only human and he has to do that on every squad all day all time nobody did that and nobody will. MJ not even in that discussion obviously. Give LeBron the credit he deserves and worked for you blind haters fuck y'all if you doubt something that is clear and put scottie ron harper LBJ rodman and Longley and you would see everyone of them scoring more getting more involved and easy shot and dunks for them because of lebron. that team would equal everybody because they are too strong( of course you need kerr and kukoc too because you need shooting at least from the bench but lebron included it would be special

A few key differences between KD and LeBron's move to a 'superteam': - KD joined the team that had just beaten him - KD joined a team that was one of the best in the league's history (73-9 !! remember) - KD joined a team that didn't need him to be great, so the pressure was off him - KD left a team with Westbrook, one of the best players in the league (From 03-08 the Cavs had no other good players) LeBron was determined to get a ring and had already given a shitty Cleveland franchise too much of his career. Durant is just SOFT, and now getting all the credit because the Warriors make him look so good.

KD always tryna justify this bs. I Respect his decision as a man, but he joined a 73 win team who he was up 3-1 on. Some may even blame him for that loss. Whereas lebron joined a team that wasn't much of a factor. KD move is weak to me. KD move to GS is the equivalent of LBJ joining Boston

Difference between KD & Lebron.. KD- went to an already built "well-oiled machine" team that DOES NOT NEED KD.. Of course, he's a great addition but hes not necessarily needed.. If KD didn't play in these playoffs the Warriors would have been in the Finals and have a GREAT chance of winning the Finals without KD.. It was evident in the regular season this year when KD was hurt (their record was 15-5).. On the contrary, if you believe KD was NEEDED for the Warriors then you are indirectly respecting Lebron James' greatness. Lebron- CREATED a built, well-oiled machine with Wade & Bosh.. They built it together to be dominant.. he didn't hop on a team that didn't need him. If you remove Lebron from the Heat they don't have near the same chance the Warriors (without KD) have of making the Finals and winning the championship.

exactly everybody want it to be the same scenario so bad.. Lebrons team was built together while warriors already established themselves as Juggernauts and built through the draft B4 KD.. unlike KD lebron didn't have teammates at the magnitude of a Westbrook harden and ibaka B4 Miami.. and his teammates wasn't fucking on his moms Lebron had every reason to leave those bums where they were Boston made a team to take out 1 guy in lebron and KD joins warriors to take out lebron.. if he left the league next year who can we count on to possibly beat the warriors if the Spurs can't? KD move was so weak hes playing great but he doesn't have to work hard for points rebounds or assist.. warriors past 2 years tops in assist defense and scoring.. if Durant pulled those numbers in OKC I'll consider him 2nd best maybe 1st.. but Lebron does it without the best supporting cast and without a Steph curry and Klay Thompson to draw defenders away from you he went 6 by himself against a 67 win team in warriors beat a 73 win team in warriors something Durant couldn't do on his own team but all of a sudden hes the best? He's not I got Cavs in 7 but win or lose he gets no respect for this weak shit

Celts beat Cavs in 2nd rd of the playoffs = Lebron joins Miami(47-35 first rd exit) Warriors beat Thunder in ECF = Durant joins Warrios(73-9 greatest record in history, and the same team that beat him) i.e. Lebron did not join the squad that dispatched his in the playoffs.

People trying to justify KD's weak ass move by comparing to what LeBron did. LeBron didn't join the Celtics after losing to them when he could've beat them the year before. If he would've stayed in OKC, the playoffs would've been a lot more interesting for the fans. I'm no hater either, and I appreciate greatness No matter who it is. What KD did was the opposite of greatness, it was weakness, and as weak as it gets. GS didn't need him whatsoever. If they win the championship, it's the weakest championship of all time. They didn't need him, he needed them.
@andrewhagan8885

Except Durants is more like when you're a kid and everyone gets a trophy for participation. NBA legends agree with me, so I think I'm gonna side with them. Plus it isn't about their reason for leaving. It's about KD trying to justify his weak ass if I can't beat them, so I'm gonna join them move. Not the same thing buddy.

Sabus First you wasted a lot of time with that post. I just read the first thing and why u acting like OKC was trash? They were up 3-1 against the warriors it needed a choke job from KD and Russ to lose the series. He could easily beat the warriors with this okc squad + horford. But he decided to join the team that beat him. How competitive right? KD had it all in okc to win something but he failed miserably with so many great pieces.

Boston Houston Rockets had the former numbers and obviously Boston had the latter numbers. Boston was a super team. Bill Russell himself said KG could win 3 or 4 rings. I remember rigged games, especially when the Spurs coach pulled his two best players with a 5 point lead and three minutes to go. Who would pull Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili in what should have been the last game of that series? That is four possessions apiece per team. Even if Duncan only scores inside for 8 points and the Heat scores 3s the games still goes to the Spurs. The league makes money from extended series and creating international superstars. LeBron got his turn.

Finally! Jalen made the most sense. Yes Bron went ring-chasing, but he didn't make the blueprint for super teams. Anyone remember the '04 Lakers? Not to mention how raw Boston's roster was as Jalen and Wiley pointed out. This is EXACTLY why LBJ going to Miami wasn't the same as KD hopping on Golden State's coattails. And even if they needed a player of his caliber to replace Harrison Barnes, I still don't believe the move was 100% necessary. KD could've left OKC and gone elsewhere, but at the end of the day he wants the chip too badly.

SeanJuan TuanSoup and where would you put him? Not on the bench obviously, and not in the starting lineup (or he takes lebrons seat, which wouldnt happen, or you have a 6f9 (i think he is) shooting guard. What Cavs really need is a better bench unit, which is whack, warriors have livingston, iggy, javale (which is making a great playoffs) cavs only have williams and shumpert, you can include jefferson, buet they arent as effective as the others. The advantage of the warriors this year is their starting lineup (without a doubt), but also their bench, which is very supportive and delivers. Cavs have a very strong starting 5, but bench sucks overall, mostly on the defensive aspect.

Kevin Durant made the right decision and here's why: Scenario 1: Bob works at a firm, and he is the only one who brings positive production. The majority of people he works with are unproductive, one specific person likes to steal the attention by trying to hard to outshine everyone else, others are lazy and rely on the talented ones in the firm. The management is lackluster and the personnel is insufficient to get them to new heights. However, the firm ranked high regardless just because of talent, rather than collectiveness and work ethic. Scenario 2: John, Rob, and Zack work at a firm and are very successful in their business; not only because of their respective talent, but because of the team orientation and culture. Bob eventually joined them because it is team-oriented which suits his skills, and the pressure isn't weighed on anybody unlike his old firm. They all have fun at work while getting shit done. Nobody has an ego and they just intend on being the best.

You do understand a workplace analogy does not work with the NBA? When in a capitalist society where economic competitiveness thrives with lack of care or sympathy for anyone else, (basically you snooze you lose), yeah sure that analogy works. Not with sports teams where people are passionate and pour their hearts and souls to support it as an escape from their lives. The moment you start seeing it from your point of view (your analogy) that's when you take away the love for the game.

Durant simply looked at himself saw what he lacked and what he needed. He's chill, smooth as ice. Unpretentious with a killer mid range game.
