Bird is my favorite player All-time, but KD is a better shooter. KD mid range alone is 2nd to none. KD on more 3 attempts is shooting 35% from 3 man. Bird is a better rebounder and the better passer as well. KD is more versatile as well too. Bird might be better at playing PF. KD is better at SF. But with both at SF KD clears with a more skills.

Bird was shooting 8% above league average from 3. and don't talk about freethrows, bird led the league 4 times in percentage. Kd not on bird's level as a shooter outside of the mid range. Kd can't facilitate an offense like Larry Bird, he can't rebound like larry bird either despite being taller. how is he more versatile? if KD not scoring he's not affecting the game. More skills? says who? kd is a better scorer and dribbler... that's where it ends. bird clears passing, playmaking, rebounding, defending...

@@bboywolf Bird is not a top 5 mid range shooter dawg. It’s MJ, Kobe, KD, Kyrie and then CP3 dude. Early in Steph’s career he use to take 6 mid range jumpers a lot at the elbow or long 2s tbh, and was still efficient. Bird for his career averaged 24/10/6 on 50/38/89 shooting splits on 2 3s a game, while KD for his career averaged 27/7/4 on 50/39/88 shooting splits on 5 3s a game. Like I said we ALL know Bird is a better rebounder and passer. Bird’s 6’9/6’10 frame, and his game is suited for the PFs position while KD being 6’10 SCORING WING who can score/defend, is suited better for the SF dude so in reality it technically KDs the better SF not solely off skills or height just cause the era he’s in get it? KD competition has been better too. Melo? Bron? Pierce? Kawhi? PG13? In their primes dawg! No disrespect to Bird cause that nigga is my favorite player All-Time but let’s keep it a bean ok

If bird shot 41% from mid maybe he would shoot 45% too, wrong again. The standard for shooting is always volume and efficiency if youre not taking majority middies youre not in the convo. If you arent shooting 45%+on middies youre not in the convo. Bird in his prime is 27 10 7. Using career stats on players in the 80s vs players today on peds and the latest tech for longevity is ridiculous. And he barely shot 3s because of the era. Most 3 pointers were heaves. If you take all the seasons he shot more than 1 a game its 40%. Use context. If you ever watched KD you would know he doesnt shoot 3s consistently only when he's hot. Bird led the league in 3s made 2 years in a row. Bird CLEARS passing, playmaking, facilitating, rebounding. And he's definitely a better defender. Kd more gifted but he's a ball watcher who doesnt have the vision/iq of a larry bird. Bird played his best seasons as a small forward and kd played 46% of his playoff minutes for the warriors as a pf. I dont wanna hear it. The small forward position is the position best suited for versatility like bird or lebron. Bird played in the greatest dr j dominique wilkins bernard king adrian dantley alex english james worthy george gervin mark aguirre. Each of those players were multiple time allstars and averaged close to 30 a game lol all in their primes too

Bird is first team, all time SF. I have KD as second team. Longevity isn't the end all and be all. Larry's court awareness, clutch play, offense, creativeness, precise passing game, leadership, pure grit, stats, rebounding, dagger 3s when 3s weren't much of a thing, and mid range game, steals, etc. were at an unmatched level. The eye test is a real thing, too. I saw them both, KD only a few months ago. Durant is great, as he's showing us at the Olympics. Top scorer in Olympic's 🏀 history now.
