It's so great to see how kind they are to each other. So complimentary of each other's work, no ego whatsoever.

I'm strangely emotional watching this video. Kevin and Peter's friendship and their love of comics is really touching. Thanks for making this happen

Kevin talking about the old "Never meet your heroes" quote, but meeting him at NYCC last year was a dream come true. Really great dude. Some people get the scoop, but you guys got the full ice cream sundae here. Amazing.

I love how these videos are two fold in that we are getting gold from Kevin and Peter, but also how they are just enjoying themselves and each other. Fantastic job guys! Can't wait to see more.

First time I've ever woken up and been excited for a KZbin video to drop. I could listen to these two talk turtles all day. If this becomes a regular thing I would be ecstatic. There's magic in those pages and in hearing the legends dive into them.

Once again, loved this. Best moment of this video for me was the acknowledgment of the connection between Mirage Studios and the Underground Comix movement. To me it was so obvious. Eastman and Laird and artists like them always felt like the Underground of our generation. I don’t feel like that’s discussed too often. Glad y’all caught that here.

Loving these videos. Hope to see more of these TMNT comic retrospectives with Eastman & Laird, or even some of the guest writers/artists if you can get a hold of them.

This is a fantastic "deep dive" and crossing my fingers that Pete and Kev can find time to do a few more of these while dissecting early issues.

The Kayfabe crew bringing the band back together. Well done. TMNT is the comic that stopped me from wasting my money on WCA and the like. Whenever we went up to Northampton I got to spend a few precious minutes in the comic store there and I would just grab anything new from TMNT and then figure out what I had left. Usually an issue of Fish Police or the Realm. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of that place, all I can remember is the Nexus sticker on the side of the rack. Anyway, great video and looking forward to the rest.

Couldn't have said it any better than you guys did at the end of the video. Eastman and Laird's TMNT COMIC does NOT get enough credit. The shows, movies, etc are all great, but the pure quality of the original Mirage volume 1 comics shocked me as a teenager when I first read it. It took something that was a fun cultural thing that I grew up around, and made it truly a work of art, a very underrated one at that. I remember reading the first few issues on the Mirage website back in the mid-late 2000s, and waiting for more. To this day, I say the City at War arc is one of the greatest comic book arcs ever. It was in a way that New Gods etc arc for me. It didn't talk down to the audience like so many things did. It also wasn't a traditional pulp story like a lot of comics I'd read either. The fact these guys come off as so humble and just unaware of how important (though underappreciated) some of their early TMNT comics were and still are is incredible. Truly can't express how grateful I am for Eastman and Laird's TMNT. These videos have been great, keep them coming please!

These videos are a dream come true and so insightful. I am one of those rare people who was never really into the show or movies, but always liked the original comics. Hope these two legends can team up and do some new ones together. Would also love Mr. Laird to do issue 33 of volume four and wrap up the story but he probably gets annoyed people asking that :p
