His ability to Defend, Rebound, Shoot, Energize and understanding the fundamentals of this beautiful game demands respect of any true Basketball fan. His love, passion and tenacity for the game is incomparable. Thank You KG for giving us another season to watch you play. Sincerely from a Raptors Fan.

The debate with Garnett/Duncan? Two completely different players. I don't think anyone would argue that Duncan had the better supporting cast, coach.. even some time to learn with David Robinson. If Garnett were just to play the low post position like Duncan, Duncan would be better. Watch his highlights. All of his plays are within 5 feet of the hoop. Duncan just has the better build for that. But c'mon.. there's no comparison when it comes to ball handling, shooting range, defensive range, passing.. so many things that Garnett could do that Duncan wouldn't even consider trying. But at the end of the day, if Garnett/Duncan switched, I'm don't think the Spurs win as many titles. Duncan's presence was more focused, everyone else's role was more defined where it's an easier team game that way, more consistent. Spurs' coach be a big reason for that, too.

If they switched places, people would have said that Duncan won so many titles because he played with great players like Wally Szczerbiak, Marc Jackson, Joe Smith, Troy Hudson, Rasho Nesterovic, etc while Garnett played with an washed up David Robinson, some soft Euros, etc. KG was an awesome player but Duncan was a winner. I compare them to Bill and Wilt. While Chamberlain and Garnett had the individual stats, Russell and Duncan won the titles.

Areez Khan Well then you forget Duncan having the best low post most ever besides possibly McHale, interior defence he is better than Garnett, a better scorer, rebounder and winner. You do realize in the 03 finals he averaged 27/17/5/5/1 and almost had a quad, Garnett is my favourite of all time and the second greatest PF ever, but by Duncan's sixth year in the league he was the greatest PF ever, it took Ggarnett 13 years and a ring to secure a top 3 status.

@Terminator879x1111 жыл бұрын
Eh, sort of. Keep in mind that Duncan practically led an aging Spurs team back to a title in '03, winning the Finals MVP vs New Jersey. He dominated that year. In 99, well, he was young, but he had post moves to rival practically anyone, and on a Spurs team whose only real stars were Robinson and Elliot. You began to see him really age in 05, and even then he remained effective in the Finals. Now Parker and Ginobili have been an effective duo to compliment Duncan well, but even then, great players have the ability not only to lead their teams in statistics, but in conduct. And about the easy points, watch Duncan's earlier years, and you'll see he had to fight for his baskets. He still technically does, but he's been shifted to center from PF, and back to PF, but now he has to play closer to the basket because of his age. Now I'm not saying Garnett is incapable of scoring or is simply bad. In fact, KG's one of my favorite PFs of all time. I'm just saying that when compared to Duncan, I think Duncan's the better player.

1:43 That court was awesome! Wish teams would make courts like that today.

I remember watching Kevin Garnett when he was in the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was unstoppable, he had the whole package as a Power Forward back then.

Twolf nation still loves you KG, and we'd also happy you finally won that ring you deserve, even if it wasn't with us. Good luck in New Jersey next year. If you end up playing the Heat, I'll finally have to root against them.

Everyone saying this video sucked doesnt understand that Garnett didnt have to be flashy to become one of the greatest. It was his fire and intensity, his trash talking and his tenacity that set him apart from others. The Big Ticket was an incredible player and now with the Nets, regardless how old he is, his presence will be monumental.
