the reason why esports dont have betters, its because the people that play video games, are not the same type of people that play sports.. the people that watch esports, have built the esports industry from a "views" standpoint. people that like games will watch it, but they are no 100 year old fans of a team like the cowboys... esport fans just like the idea of a Marvel vs capcom tournament, and are watching... its not the same risk or commitment as a Cowboys fan. video game players can have a morpg tournament without leaving their house, are their are no consequences on the line as far as the player health.... these industries are built on human behavior since the mafia numbers days... I can play my friends in a a game and thrive off the possibility of beating them, but its not important to other people. in summary, sports betting take advantage of the common sports fan who believes in the team they they or their family thought them to grow up on watching.. video games dont have the same commitment, its ok that people cant force an community to bet on something. The betting industry is trying to profit on the psychological mentality of humans on a part of the gaming community that last only 3 minutes. why bet on a madden game with people who you dont know are serious, vs a professional football or basket ball game. the internet and media created content, which can be viewed anytime, its not the same as a team trying to make history in their "non digital" field.

oh ever heard of Dota2 Major tournaments? gaming community is huge. What game are you saying that only last for 3 minute? Tekken? SmashBro? Yo man, KG is clearly not talking about those games. There is Counter Strike, Valorant, Dota2, League of Legends, etc. Now tell me if these games can be concluded within 3 minutes? There are tons of esport betting sites around the world right now and i think you dont have any clue about it. @TerWinchesterReal fighting games last about three minutes. I don’t know if you know this, but we were playing fighting games when Mortal Kombat came out and street fighter. In the 90s there was a period in time when people just played games and there were no historical consequences. We were just having fun. It wasn’t a real sport having documented history like the NBA does from the 1940s 50s or 60s it’s a completely different beast when you have an actual sport where people have to physically compete. Yes there are major esports tournaments with millions of dollars on the line for the players that are actually playing in it just like the NBA and the NFL but they are nationally televised all across the world as well as on streaming platforms. that has nothing to do with the culture of people that are not playing the game itself. Kevin was asking why the Esports community isn’t getting the same amount of traction that actual sports are getting when it comes to betting. I’m only speaking about why people don’t be on video games. The mafia was running numbers on sports because there was a large group of people that were willing to bet on them. It was a professional sport. Would you bet on a player or team in E sports that just started yesterday or would you bet on a football team or a professional basketball team That’s your father and grandfather saw playing ? the person KG is interviewing is explaining his reason why E sports doesn’t have the same amount of attraction thar actual sports have and I’m giving my opinion on why that is the case.

people can bet on anything these days, even politics and results of elections. I am aware of all of the things that people can bet on. But KG is also interviewing a person that works for Bet mgm which is a casino that is into ways to monetize betting on a large scale. An E sports seem to still be a niche market when it comes to a large company and casino like MGM. Do you understand what I’m trying to convey here, I am curious as well. but the CEO of Bet mgm just said in an interview a very vague reason for why they’re not getting money eports. What is your explanation for why they aren’t getting into the business?
