True man, true. I've always had phone anxiety, but I could just push through it and once I was having a conversation I'd be fine. A couple of years ago I got a phone that always broke up in calls and I had to have it on speaker for anyone to hear me. Coupled with the fact that I don't get good reception in my house, my phone anxiety went crazy. I'd avoid calls just to listen to the voicemail and send a text back, literally freaking out whenever my phone rang, going out of my way to go say things in person when a 30 second phone call would take care of it, the anxiety seriously effected my life man. I got a new phone a while back and I've been steeling myself up to make and answer phone calls. Physical anxiety every time, can feel myself wanting to just hang up before anyone answers, all sorts of bullshit. But just nutting up and taking care of it is making it easier, every time I'm less anxious, hopefully I'll be able to just pick up the phone without even thinking about it eventually. It's a shit phobia to have in the modern world, Idk why it gets me like that but it does.
