he is not glorifying those things. he is rapping about what he knows. this was his life. im sure if his parents were librarians he would be rapping about moby dick or some intelligent book he read. but his circumstances we re different. and reflects on the life he lived because there are people that can relate to his pain and that are going through the same struggles as he is/did and get comfort/relief from knowing somewhere someone else is going through the same kinds of things.
