The thing is if you were instrumental in the success of the show, then why haven't you been able to replicate that type of success, even at a small level for now? Because he wasn't. Remember the contract provision about if she couldn't find another show with another production, then she didn't have to pay anything? Wendy is a talker. That demonic husband took a lot of energy. I'm not even Wendy, and I don't have her fame, but in my average day life, it took years to get over a fool let alone a devil.
