i'm not sold on our front office as they made to moves that left a a bad taste in my mouth, (the THJ signing last year and the trading of Hernangomez).. this offseason is going well but I gotta see first if they really stick to they plan of developing young talent.. I really like that they didnt extend Kantor nor Oquinn.. Hopefully Mitchell Robinson and Kornet get minutes this year.. I would love to see a lineup of Ntilikina, Dotson, Knox, Herzonja and Mitchell get a lot of playing time this year..

Chris Shergie uhm.. if you know anything about Paul George coming into the NBA and if you watched this video you would know NBA scouts questioned his effort on the defensive end , due to his passive nature it was a concern for NBA scouts. But he turned out to be an elite defender in the NBA. Moral of the story is scouts feel the same way about Knox. Physically he has the makeup it’s all about effort and commitment. Won’t be surprised at all if he shows ass in the NBA

MikePhytz well put...i did not know they questioned that...but i just don’t think knox is even close to the athlete george is/was and i think people have been making knox out to be what they want him to be instead of what he is or will be. I may be proven wrong, but ive never felt so strongly about a draft pick. I dont think he has the handle, quickness, defense, aggressiveness, or ability to rebound to be anything but a bench player. I am willing to bet a lot of teams had him as a low first round grade...i think its even more telling that he was drafted by NY...no offense to knicks fans but other than drafting Porzingis, i dont trust the organization. I also think its silly to compare him to George simply because they were both questioned about willingness to play defense. Thats kind of silly. I dont think knox has the ability to be the type of defender George is, even if he miraculously develops a motor after he becomes a millionaire when he could not be convinced by John Calipari to have one

Well i think we all know he isnt the same athlete as george , PG is an uber athlete and there arent many of those but knox isnt as far off as you think , knox is a pretty good athlete for his size. As far as handles and quickness goes thats something he definitely needs to improve which ive heard he has been working on and his quickness will show more with an improved ball handle. Obviously he would become a quicker player with the ball once he tightens his handle. Defense is all about effort and commitment im not worried about him especially under fizdale. He isnt extremely aggressive but he is a competitor and a pure scorer who led kentucky in scoring as an 18 yo freshman. He was pegged a lottery pick all year. His stock rose once teams seen his improved handle and competitiveness. PG played for a Fresno State team in a relatively weak conference where the SOS(Strength of Schedule) for both of his seasons were under a 2.00 , knox played in kentucky where the SOS was a 10.00 plus. So what im trying to convey here is Knox is younger, playing far better competition and put up basically the same scoring numbers n probably like 1 reb and 1 ast shy of what george did in his 2 seasons at Fresno lol.. The george comparisons arent coming from the lone concern of willingness to play defense but from much more such as. Physical makeup such as their height, length, Versatility, being prospects who are a bit under the radar and slept on, passive temperaments, and of course questioning their defensive aptitude when they both have the size and length to be elite. And well PG is elite now. Knox could be next. Dont sleep on the knicks we are building up in the draft , he is gonna be good.

I'm really thrilled about Knoxs and his room for growth in development. I'm a major Knicks fan and had pick him for my team to fill this highly needed SF position. It would be a good pick if he can come close to the skill level as a Paul George, but I'm feeling he could even exceed the talent of PG13

I really like this comp. His potential to be a prolific on-ball and off-ball scorer, as well as a good defender could make him a matchup nightmare. Which would help enable some very versatile lineups and offensive/defensive sets. Pretty sure this thrilled Fizdale and the Knicks front office. Especially with Fizdale's pedigree for developing players and helping them add more wrinkles to their game or just making them more effective/efficient in skill areas. A perfect pairing and a bright future, if things go right.
