Breams and Williams performance has nothing over Kevin. Outstanding job.

Hello everyone! Here’s a throwback to about 3 to 4 years ago, while I was still a student at the Yehudi Menuhin School. I finally visited my Alma Mater just this weekend. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and it brought back so many wonderful memories having spent 7 years there. I am also really excited to share that I have finally started university back in the UK and continuing my journey as a young musician. I truly appreciate everyone’s support and I’m delighted to also report that I have finally crossed 10K subscribers on KZbin! Thanks once again everyone!

@@kevinlohguitar Always! One of the great things about pieces like this -- and this is something Ben Verdery has said often -- is that they are great "teachers" and so every time we go back to them there's always more to learn from them. I'm so glad you're back at it and can't wait to see future updates. If you ever make it to the States please do let me know! Peace.

Hi Kevin, I thought it would be appropriate to reciprocate the kindness (thank you for visiting my new video today) I wish there was more time in the day to visit all my friends on KZbin. This was a flawless performance. Also was one of my favorite pieces when I first heard it many years ago. Monster piece! Anyway, well done my friend, well done! Scott.

Do you keep this piece in good order ? Its a high maintenance one ,

Hi Alan, no I have not kept this piece in order but I hope to.

It s difficult keeping old pieces in shape while learning new stuff ,is that an issue for you too ? Would it take much practice to get this one back to concert ready ?

Just wanted to offer a good resource as one starting point for the suggestion I made below: www.russian-guitar.com/ Oleg Timofeyev, a Duke University PhD, is currently a professor at the University of Iowa and an expert on these instruments.

An absolutely outstanding performance, reflecting some of the best elements of the legendary renditions by Bream and, particularly, Williams. Suggestion: Consider broadening your repertoire with variant guitars. You may not want to go as far as Bream did - with the lute - but give some thought to the Russian seven-string guitar, which - though it uses different tunings than the now standard six-string guitar - is technically not as distant. Here an example of a mellifluous piece rendered on a seven-string instrument: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpLEpYh5mpmrgNU It would be fascinating to see some of this music performed with your virtuosity.
