I’ve always thought Raven and the Flock storyline was one of the coolest and unconventional stories that WCW came up with in the late 90’s , I loved his character and his rivalry with DDP also, he was sorta like the Mankind character whereas he was a tortured soul that was lashing out in the ring, great storytelling

How I became a fan of Kidman. I remember when Kidman beat Juventud for the cruiserweight title. Was normal to flip flop between Raw and Nitro. Didn’t change during that match. Also, Goldberg taking out the Flock to win the US Title was one of Goldberg’s finest moments.

Props to Kevin for going out of his way to give Raven a legit shout-out and telling a great story on the pod, instead of just a shallow promo on social media, which is all they were asking for🤘

Raven was the very definition of underrated. I'll never forget him and Scott Hall staring at each other over the barricade and then nothing ever happened after that smh

WCW could have done a lot more with Raven, he was really over when he first came in and was building the flock. Hell WWE could’ve too when he came in 2000 or whenever that was. He had a huge reaction

THAT was on THUNDER. Fan jumped the rails and yanked Raven by the hair. Security pummeled thus fan and Raven got right back to his ring corner and continued his promo as if nothing had happened. FUCKING BRILLIANT

Stevie quickly went from nice guy who could break down moves to the typical negative idiot. He is a perfect match for the wanker he has as a cohost. I don’t put much credence in Stevie’s insight beyond the moves.

Raven and the Flock was so underutilized it was down right criminal. They should have dusted up with the NWO right around the time the Sting storyline wrapped up. Would have been a great transition, they had some guys who could go.
@antology7

Yes, that would've been awesome. Though, the only way it would work would be to make one of the teams as faces, which would have to be the Flock.

I met Raven years ago at some failed show in Cork, Ireland where the ring crew apparently broke down on the way from Dublin so the wrestling never went ahead. He looked like he weighed a ton, full of fast food and trotting around in big heavy boots that smacked the concrete every time he took a step. A nice guy though.

Alot of people here missing the character was a big shot at Vince firing him for influencing his kid doing drugs. So hes grunge drug guy who tries to be daddy to poor tyler etc. He was just scary good at selling us the gimmick til he took it too far and believed his own hype I suspect.
