As others have stated, you have to do away with these cuts. It’s so bad that it reminds me of a Max Headroom video from the 1980s. On top of that, I imagine anybody that has epilepsy might be prone to a seizure. Almost like a strobe light of video cuts at points. Other than that, I love watching. It’s a nice laid-back, relaxed podcast. Where you guys talk about a variety of things and not always wrestling. Which is a nice change of pace from most podcasts like this.

Kevin Nash promos are gold. And I loved when the fans screamed "Goldberg sucks" under Kevin Nash vs Goldberg Starrcade 1998. Just show how over he was. When the fans wants him to win when Goldberg was red-hot in his prime.
@jamesmiller53314 ай бұрын
I have always wanted to ask Kevin if he has or ever does sit and wonder where that Babyface run could had Hulk not played his trump card a few weeks later. They kind of make fun of this idea that the fingerpoke of Doom was a big deal in the death of WCW but I think they were too close to the forest to see the trees, they were two *in it* to understand how many different ways that left a complete and utter sour taste in everyone's mouth and all of the reasons that it did and one of the biggest reasons in it was that it was going to be the end of the Wolfpack as we knew it and Kevin Nash's babyface run.
@krillep5464 ай бұрын
@@jamesmiller5331 Yeah but Goldberg was still over, and it's like Eric said, being over is easy, staying over is hard. Nash coming in on Nitro after he won over Goldberg it was not the same pop. It's always easier to be the underdog. This is a great quote: "You either die as a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain". I think that would happen sooner than later.
@jamesmiller53314 ай бұрын
@krillep546 I'll have to go back and check out that Nitro in between the Goldberg wasp and the finger poke and see about that. You might very well be alright but it's not how I remember feeling it when it was happening but I'm just an 11 year old kid from East Central Indiana watching on cable at the time. I stand by my finger poke Doom Theory though because that was just the wrong kind of reset to do. We had already done whole Hulk Hogan as champ / NWO running roughshod and there was something way newer and way fresher happening on the other channel at that Point going forward. And it's absolutely crazy to think about that knowing what we know now that basically there wasn't anything that anyone could do to change that. Hulk Hogan ran that company the minute he signed the dotted line.
@krillep5464 ай бұрын
@@jamesmiller5331 I was 17 at that time :) Yes, they could have outdrawn the storyline. But a NWO reunion was suppose to happen sooner than later - happens with every breakup. But they could have let the storyline go on a bit further to see where it would take us. But we're starting to lose the ratings war - so something needed to happen. And WCW 1999 january fingerpoke of doom was WCW second best rating month of ALL TIME. And you had Sting, Goldberg and Hogan gone for much of 1999, losing one of these would hurt the ratings.

Not that you give a damn what I think (and nor should you) even though some of the political takes boggle my mind, not so much because you're a staunch Democrat, but more because of this thing that's going on with both sides where people don't seem to want to call out the obvious flaws on their own side... like they're afraid of giving ammunition to the other side or something, and so they just act like they are *all in* , *no matter what* ... but I just want to give you props because at the very very least, at least you're not sour on Hulk Hogan or throwing him under the bus because of his appearance at the RNC or because of whoever he plans to vote for. Like I love Jim Cornette as a dude and as a personality, but he is so deep in it that he will publicly renounce 30 year+ friendships on Twitter in front of the entire world because somebody said that they support Trump or Republicans or something. To me, that is the absolute height of petty and cringe-worthy and literally gives me second hand embarrassment when I see him or others do it... sometimes I wonder how someone so intelligent can't see some of the things that I see on the political landscape, yourself included, but you're not taking a blowtorch to bridges just because one of your good friends has a different political outlook. I'm sure that Scott had a different outlook as well (even if he voted the same as you do) but it is irrelevant to the friendship and I respect that. It should be a given... but these days it's not so I just wanted to say that. Cheers 🍻

If this were 1985, as a 10 year old I'd be saying Hulk Hogan is the greatest and Ric Flair sucks. Like millions of kids they had me hook line and sinker with Hulkamania and Ric Flair, I thought, was a scumbag. That was how it was supposed too be too back then and that was exactly the kind of reaction that both guys and the ones that signed their pay checks wanted. In 1995, as a 20 year old, even if you did hate Ric Flair 10 years before, by then you just had to have your respects for the guy. And and what is cool too you at 10 years old aint necessarily what is cool too you at 20 years old. When Hogan became "Hollywood Hogan" I didn't know what to think at first. "You mean too tell me my childhood hero is admitting now that he was full of shit and just doing it for the money all along?". But the night or so after when Hogan came out in all black and was picking fights with little old ladies at ring side THAT was the coolest shit ever for a hell raising rebellious teenager lol! Now, at nearly 50 years old, looking back on it all... watching Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair for so much of my youth, I almost feel like they are distant uncles of mine. They are both like the cool uncles you would see at the family reunions and around town who everyone knew and they really didn't know you. God bless them both, I love them both! Thanks for the memories that they both paid for in blood, sweat, and tears!
