I like the idea of Randy coming in and turning on Cody while also taking out K.O. with a punt. Set up Randy vs Cody at RR, let randy win. Have Cena come close to winning the RR but just losing at last 4 or 3 to tease the idea of Orton vs Cena and make the story be Cody and Cena chasing after Orton as champion. I'd prefer Cena vs Orton one last time at WM but either match would be great. Also Orton as heel champ just feels right again.

I think the story is set up perfectly for this. The fantasy booking in my head goes one of two ways: KO is injured or otherwise diminished in the match, Cody refuses to take advantage just as KO did in the first match, KO comes back to win cementing Cody’s baby face Or, KO is somehow injured or diminished the match, Cody does take advantage of it, making him a morally ambiguous champion.

I have no problem with KO winning and Cody getting it back before Mania, not every reign has to go on forever. I am a Cody fan, but I think it adds to the spontaneity and unpredictability of the product. If KO wins he can get one or two feuds with someone else and then rematch Cody at the Rumble. I would be perfectly fine with spicing up the product. Make and keep wrestling fun.

The thing that makes me not really like this idea is that Kevin should have a half way decent run, and if he doesn't it's just title changes for the sake of it. Let him win at SNME, have a defense against Randy on SD, then Cody and Randy at the rumble, and then Cody wins it back at Elimination Chamber in a 6 man match. This way the build to Randy vs Cody can be set up during these matches. Imagine how much the crowd would pop when the final 2 is Randy vs Cody?

My fantasy booking: Owens beats Rhodes. Defends against a couple other ppl before Randy Orton returns and wins the title from Owens. Cody challenges Randy for the title back and Randy retains. Randy then is forced to defend against a heel Cody Rhodes and Owens in a triple threat but loses it due to interference from Roman Reigns. Roman and Cody have a third championship match in which Roman wins back the championship. Roman then holds it again for a year until Jacob Fatu or some other big new name takes it from him.

I think Cody vs Randy doesn't really NEED the title to be good...KO vs Sami at Wrestlemania and Sami getting his boyhood dream come true moment by beating his life-long arch nemesis/best friend, that story NEEDS the title. Unpopular opinion maybe, but I never bought into the whole KO hype. Decent wrestler, for me he's not in the main event status. I think he should be battling for the United States or IC championships. BTW: I love how he is pissed at Cody for the bloodline alliance, but he's ok with Sami fighting alongside Roman at Survivor Series.

A title switch for the sake of it, just to create buzz? What would be the point of KO winning the title and losing it in a couple of weeks? And how does that tie into Cody and Randy? Firstly, it makes more sense for Orton fight Owens because he attacked him backstage and he took him out of action. It would make no sense if they were buddies going after Cody when Randy comes back, he should seek revenge. Also, there is a plan for Cody and The Rock to face each other, with or without Roman Reigns included, so Cody and Randy is not likely to happen at WrestleMania, maybe at SummerSlam. The only way KO winning would makr any sense is if Orton comes back and costs him the title somehow, but that's not needed to build KO vs RKO, they already have a very personal feud. For those reasons, the title change would be pointless. And WWE is firing on all cylinders and doesn't need more buzz, especially when they're moving to Netflix and John Cena is coming back, The Rock is coming back, maybe even Brock Lesnar too, as well as current superstars like McIntyre, Logan Paul, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch... WWE doesn't need to create buzz.
