Xavi has stated he watched Scholes the most of any player and that Barcelona trains its youth with the 'Scholes principle' which are those turns ironically Xavi and Iniesta became so famous with. Scholes is your favorite players favorite player. Casuals just repeat each others opinions. Scholes was winning CL's as the driving force of United as a young kid when Xavi was still a bench player and Pirlo didnt even play for a top club yet. Like I said a lot players are underrated due to a lack of popularity, not skill. Zico basically had Messi stats as a attacking midfielder. Does he ever get called one of the best ever?
