whenever I read Hebrews 12:29, "..our God is a consuming fire.” I think of this Kevin Prosh melody, instruments and wonderful vocals...anointing forever. Kevin came to our small new Vineyards Church in Scotts Valley. near Santa Cruz, California in the early 90's. Oh how desire a video was made! Love the way Kevin elongates the word "Consuuuummming" during parts of this song. At home by myself, I would knell down (prostrate) by the cd player and play these songs over and over worshipping, feeling the presence of the Lord. Who hasn't done that? the word consuming, in Greek katanaliskon = To use up, spend, consume (as with fire). From kata and analisko; to consume utterly.

I thank YHWH for hearing these albums from Kevin Prosch when he came to Jacksonville, Florida's Fathers HOUSE, in 1998. The anointing to worship is so strong on this album I weep. I still weep today in 2023!!! OUR GOD'S A CONSUMING FIRE; HE REIGNS ON THE EARTH!!!!

I've been looking for the spontaneous ministry time that happened at the end of the Consuming Fire song, but it seems to have been "tidied away" from most online versions of the song. I remember it well, early 90s, as a young and stressed youth pastor, I was struggling with planning the usual Sunday "performance..." working with the borrowed cassette playing in the background. As Kevin began spontaneously ministering, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon me in a way I'll never forget. The whole experience for me was the beginning of a lifelong transition away from performance and toward worship. I was inspired to do my own live praise and worship album, with a goal to also capture the presence of the Holy Spirit within the recording.

Just wants to make you worship even more and go deeper with your relationship with God, and let Jesus shine out of our lives.

I was there as well. Our worship leaders all got together and left from the Desert Vineyard. When Brent Rue was Pastor. Kevin Prosch came to our church a lot since he wrote most of the songs from this recording at the Vineyard Ranch. The entire band was amazing! Meeting the Tubbs brothers from The Violet Burning was awesome also. This song brings back so many memories for me. The Power of God! This just goes to show how God can use us as vessels to deliver his message. And humble ourselves before Him.

Oh wow! This really takes me back over 20 years ago. Saw this guy live, come over from Us to a little remote seaside town on the south Coast of England. Bought some tapes of his at the time & too have become too worn out & I too would love to replace but don't know how. I miss hearing his music & that particular time played a key part in my faith.

Is there any other place to find his music? We have a CD from the 1990's and the Toronto Blessing with his music but have worn it out.
