I have a washing machine from 1994 those were some good times. Thanks for keeping those great antiques in such fine condition! Thumbs up.

OMG! I love automatic washers! You have some of the most gorgeous machines. That must be heaven to walk around knowing they're all yours! My mom had a Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer. I think hers was a 1966 or'67 model. It had the black bakelite agitator and the buttons where smaller. Her's also had the red "Magic-Clean Filter" light on it. For someone like me, seeing all those machines and seeing what has happened to american machines is enough to make a person like me almost cry.

I thought I had a disorder too. As a kid (3 or 4 years old), I would sit for hours watching our Westinghouse go around and watching the soap suds splash on the front, and slide down. I now use these images to lull myself to sleep at night, so soothing.

thank you Kevin for sharing your video with us. Nice collection. All these machines were made in America. Now, its oversea's. I was hoping to see my mom's 1970's whirlpool washer. She wished she kept it, but the clutch when out in 1990-1993. Her maytag transmission broke after 6 years of ownership.

Wow, look at the style and quality in those babies! The new washers they build today aren't half the machines these are that you have! I'd be in Heaven, here. My favorite one is the GE filter-flo, and also the golden Super Roto Swirl agitator in the old Kenmore washers. I wish GE would bring the filter-flo back. I just wish they'd start building applicances with superior quality again, period, instead of this fragile, plastic junk. Great video, and keep posting and collecting old washers!

Do you really have all those washing machines? Looks like heaven to me. When I was a little shaver, my grandad used to take me to the laundromat just so I could be there. The smell of bleach and Tide intoxicated me. My parents used to go to Sears and Roebuck, leave me where they had the washers. They would go shopping. And guess where I was? Just where they had left me.

To summarize everything in this collection I have put on my list of washing machines I mentally absolutely need to have, here's the list. 1. Maytag A700 2. Bendix WEG-H Gyromatic(listed as the Magic Heater washer in this video, Swestoyz did a video on that machine and BY JOVE it's attractive) 3. Stacked Westinghouse(preferably the Tall Tumbler that Eddy1210 has) 4. Maytag A806 5. GE Filter-Flo(one from 1958 of which Swestoyz filmed, one from the 60's-70's of which is shown here, and probably another one from a later time or something) 6. 1955 Frigidaire WV-65 Unimatic(I'll take ALL the freaking Unimatics and Pulsamatics regardless of how rare the Pulsamatics and the early 1947 - 1948 Unimatic WJ-60/WK-60 machines are) 7. Frigidaire 1-18 Possible machines may also include the Calypso and the Maytag A50. At the moment I own 2 vintage machines, a Miele W906 from the 1990's(serial number 33600196 if any Miele serial number experts can help date mine) and a Hoovermatic 3174 from 1959 which supposedly only had 1 owner before me. At the moment it's a WIP machine. Other than that though, nobody knew how to much machines quite like how the Americans did. Personally, I think the American washing machines of their days were more true to their eras than any other machines literally, and they looked richer and much more stylish than what all other countries produced despite I'm british. Damn want american machines I do. Especially the Bendix Gryomatic WEG-H, the Maytags and the GM Frigidaires.

OMG! I remember seeing a laundry center back in the early 80s, way before they became popular in the 90s. I peeked inside the washer and it had a weird-looking agitator that was all one piece with the basket. It was the first time I saw that. I swear that harvest gold one you have must be that. The top of the agitator looks like the one I remember. Is it all one piece with the tub? I always wondered how that could work, effectively.

Any washing machine manufactured after 2010 (with the hundreds of confusing idiot buttons) will only last you but a few years. There are tons of videos of washers from the 1970's still working. That has to tell you something. I am glad I just bought a 1999 Kenmore washer. I LOVE it.

What are the blue washer and dryer at 0.22. My Mom had that dryer. I remember staring at the glowing dials in the darkness of the basement as a we child: It scared the piss out of me, for some reason. It also lasted forever, considering the laundry it did for a family of 6, including 3 very active boys...I think she got rid of it in 95?

I am so jealous of all of those beautiful machines - they're prestine! Would have been nice to see at least one of the old Speed Queens. Who's the guy that walked into the shot with a cold beer in his hand? I wanna come to your house for laundry day from now on !!!!!!!!!

I love it! The dryer shown at 1:40, its a Kenmore, right? My mother used to have that dryer, and my grandparents before her. It worked from the day it was new until 2003 when we replaced it with my grandparents other machine, another Kenmore from the early 80's. That thing was an unstoppable workhorse. We bought a new Kenmore Elite pair 2 years ago and I'm already about to scrap the washer. I guess they just don't build things like they used to, do they? You have a very cool collection. Kudos!
