She should not expect that new husband to pay for anything for that step child. She could buy the extra pizza needed and the child would never know the pizza was split unfairly. She has a job and child support coming to pay for the child’s part of the pizza. That’s the best way to handle it and not make the new husband pay for that child. Just don’t let the young child know things are paid for this way while the child is young. That child will figure out that he/she will get extra gifts from his/her dad. So it balances out.
