This is actually very simple to answer. Woman don't have stressful jobs unless your talking about the exceptions and even during those exceptions they sit around on their phones in the AC. What's the percentage of woman that are building roofs? Working 16 hours in hot summer suns? Brick layers? There's a REASON why woman are paid less because they CHOOSE cushion jobs. So if THEIR husband is working 16 hours in the sun while you work 7 behind a fucking desk YOU as a WIFE AND WOMAN have ZERO excuses as to why you cook your man a meal to come home to. It's absolutely funny how everyone is fighting the exceptions but not the majority.

Not really. For starter most people don't start having kids 10 years into marriage, so it's probably safe to assume they have two teenaged children. So his beta self doesn't have the kids trained to do the simple chores? I've been washing clothes since I was like 7 years old. Half the house work should already be getting done. The dude is typical liberal, spouting off bull hockey about about being white? Dude was a clown point blank, standing up for him is just sad. I was a wife for 20 years and never understood why if I worked and made more than my husband while also pursuing an education, I still had to come home to cook (only the menu my ex husband wanted) and clean everyday. Saturdays I was cleaning all day and doing laundry too. One day I told him to learn how to cook and I remember he said, " it's not like you cook all day everyday" I realized I was still under his expectations as his mom would cook the 3 meals BECAUSE SHE WAS A STAY AT HOME WIFE. So I was supposed to get 3 meals ready for this man while working, taking care of the house, kids and furthering my education. I'm so happy kids grew up and I am single LOL 😅 I divorced and I live alone and I do whatever I want when I want to. Some men really have very crazy expectations and don't see us as human beings as Aba mentioned. I am done with all of it. Kevin Samuels used to say, " buy a dog and die alone" like it's a bad thing. If you want a woman who will cook and clean, then it's logical for her to be a stay home spouse. As a result you have to be prepared to not only take care of the household but her as well. That means giving her money for food, things around the house, as well as giving HER money to buy whatever she needs for herself. But many people want women who cook and clean while they don't even have enough money to take care of themselves.

These whole Alpha movement thing is becoming toxic and unrealistic. I work, my wife works. She cooks most of the times, and when she's tired I cook. I learned to cook and clean young, mainly because my grandmother wanted me to be prepared in case i lived on my own. When people ask about it, I'm just like, don't you? If you live alone, you gonna wear the same nasty clothes and eat fast food everyday? One guy even told me how he sick of his gf not cooking after she gets off from work. She worked as a nurse in a hospital, he worked at a fast food place. she had to do 10-16 hr days during 2020, and he only did 4 hr days. I asked why he can't cook, and once he went on his, "I shouldn't have to" speech, I just tuned him out. Next day, he saw a post I did for a dinner (meatloaf, potatoes, string beans, and biscuits) and dude wanted to know if my woman made more. Once he heard I did it, he wanted to tell me I shouldn't had. Told him, I'm hungry, I will cook. It's not the point whose role it is, at the end of the day, you need to learn these things, they're handy skills. The dude lives with his parents now, his now ex is with someone who works near the hospital she works at.

Additionally she primarily raised me and my siblings with the help of my grandma and was the most invested in our school and personal lives. My dad is essentially a stranger who comes home early sits on his phone and watches tv and my mom works long shifts and comes home to housework along with assigned work from home on patients. It got to the point where my dad was so lazy you had to beg him to fix things or do “manly” housework that my mom would just do. It’s so funny these men think women are incapable of physical labor. Here's the thing. When you tell her that you want to let her stay home, why does she fight that by saying "I won't ever let a man take food from my mouth" ? So now, you're forced to go against your comfort and work. Forced by your own admission. You don't want a man to have financial control over you, whereas men don't want to exert financial control over a woman. So now that we figured that out, I will most definitely fix my own food. But see, don't ask me to do stuff for you if you can't do for me.

@@OMGitsTerasu It goes back to one thing women wanting men to stay traditional but aren't traditional themselves and they love talking about back in the day but failed to realize those women back then understood the role of a housewife. Not now though some women think that they should be provided for without having to or care about the man needs long as she's happy doesn't matter what he wants men should just be eager and willing to deal with whatever. Think about it I mean it's perfectly ok for a woman to say she won't deal with a guy who's "short" and that's fine it's her preference but a man can't say he's not into women with children or big women that's wrong he's judging her based on her appearance without getting to know her.

Why is it so hard to be logical? If one partner works full time, the other takes care of the household chores. If both work full time, both split chores. If one works full time, and the other part time, the part timer does more of the chores, but most likely will need a little help with chores too. This isn't really that hard. If you expect to be in a traditional relationship, you must give the woman the ability to be the traditional woman. Have these talks before you start dating seriously. We all have choices, and choices have consequences regardless.

Can we all agree that as adults we should at least know how to cook at least 2 maybe 3 types of meals, and AT LEAST know how keep a home tidy?! It’s a no brainer! You as an individual should know how to do this for yourself so when you get into a relationship and one of you is traditional while you’re not, your S/O can also trust that you can take over when he/she needs a break. This reminds me of a friend of mine that I worked with a few years. Her hubby had a good job, enough to pay for the house & other bills. However, she worked so they could put their kids (3 kids) through private schooling & tertiary education. Their combined income allowed for them to enjoy some luxuries as well. On weekdays, he would finish work at 16:30 & she would finish at 18:00. Their start times were similar as well. So, naturally, when he got home, he would cook Mon-Fri as he had extra time & when she gets home she has dinner already prepared for her & the kids. On weekeds it was her thing to cook the meals that they at home. They shared chores, take turns or sometimes do it together. After putting her last child through University, she took early retirement when it was offered & now she stays home & cooks & cleans as a housewife & she's enjoying it. About 2 years ago, their 3 kids surprised them with an all expenses paid vacation for the two of them to enjoy in a few foreign countries (multiple flights & accomodation etc. booked in a few island locations). So they went Island hopping & enjoyed themselves. My point is, a healthy relationship displayed in a housed showing appreciation to your spouse has a positive effect on your kids too. They succeeded at marriage & also succeeded at parenting. They didn't ask their kids for anything. They just didn't want their kids to start their adult life off in debt. So both parents worked. The kids mirrored their appreciation for each other & acknowledged the fact that their parents were selfless when it came to putting the family's best interests first. When I spoke to her daughter she said that she knows how much of student debt some of her friends were in & thankfully she doesn't have tp worry about that because of her parents sacrifice & she & her brothers are greatful for it. They are the most 'functional' family I have ever seen & aspire to do things the way the did one day when my time comes. It's just logical & awesone to see.

It’s disturbing to me when people bring up how expensive it is to live as an excuse to having 2 incomes. Single mothers pay all their bills and take care of their children with ONE income and maybe a little child support (which would amount to less then what someone could make at a part time job.) The problem is that both women and men are sometimes attached to living above their means, that’s why both people must slave at full time jobs. It’s a choice not a necessity to live off two incomes. A bachelor lives off one income. If the point of your marriage is to “level up” instead of provide, so be it. That means both parties have agreed to trade being able to spend less on bills and more on themselves rather then establishing a system that would allow them to value someone having the time and energy to take care of home. They made the choice to arrange their lives in such a way that they are dependent on 2 incomes. If both parents have to work full time just to be able to afford children and have to neglect the home, then maybe they shouldn’t have children in the first place. How is it too “expensive” to live without 2 incomes. When single people do it all the time??? Some people get married so they can have a roommate not a spouse. My dad told me, get an place that you can afford by yourself so you don’t have to get stuck with a roommate that your desperately dependent on to help pay the bills.
@deelove8430
@deelove8430 2 жыл бұрын
@@leighm what’s disturbing is that you think that it’s not expensive. Well I guess it depends on where you live. Yes single parents do live with one income but also some get services to assist or child support. The single parent lifestyle is a struggle lifestyle so to suggest that parents trade time to take care of the home or time with the children to live above their means is sick. Yes some are accustomed to luxuries such as internet and cable but in most cases they aren’t living above their means. You can’t compare a bachelor to a single parent because there are a lot of differences. You verses your children and what you need for them is very different from what you can settle for. Single parents offen get foodstamps, Medicaid or section 8 or some sort of help so it’s definitely not the same as a single person living on their own. If both parents work then both parents should share the household responsibilities and taking care of the children.
@leighm
@leighm 2 жыл бұрын
@@deelove8430 why have children that you can’t take care of. That’s a signal of irresponsibility which is another way people live beyond their means. Single parents do get child support that’s why I compared it to a part time job. If a couple has kids, the husband can work and the wife go part time and have more time to take care of the children, the home, and her husband. All I’m saying is that most of the stuff people complain about is because of their choices. Being a single parent is a choice most of the time. And if it’s not by choice it’s because the other parent died which means they would receive death benefits. And yes I agree it is completely sick for parents to trade time to take care of their children so they can live above their means. I don’t think I ever suggested that would be a healthy decision. If you can’t afford a wife don’t get one. (Unless she agrees to take care of herself, which in turn renders you powerless in the ideal that she take on the duties of taking care of you) If you can’t afford children don’t have them. If you make those choices you are living above your means. If you wanna struggle being a single parent that’s your choice, if you wanna struggle with navigating a 50/50 relationship get yourself a roommate. If you want a spouse to take care of you, the home, and the children, TAKE CARE OF YOUR SPOUSE.
@deelove8430

@@leighm you are absolutely infuriating but you choose the life that YOU want and stop assuming what others want. Death isn’t the only reason a parent becomes single(what rock do you live under). You did make the assumption that parents trade time with their children and home for work, not me. Some mothers want to work and that’s her and her husband’s decision, fortunately not yours. As I said when both parents work then both parents should care for the home and children, no matter if they both choose to work or if it’s necessary. Things happen and some women choose not to abort and become a parent or the couple chooses to keep and marry. The only people to decide their marriage or relationship is that couple. Your comparison of child support to a part time job is hilarious because the average man’s income is not that high so you wouldn’t be getting enough to equate to a part time job. What’s disturbing is the perfect world that you live in and that you seem share some red pill men rhetoric. Anyhoo enjoy your day!!

You can’t expect a woman to be a “traditional woman” while you be a “modern man” who expects her to fulfill MODERN expectations like splitting bills 50/50 and working outside the house to bring home some of the bacon. Women back in the days were able to be stay at home moms cooking and cleaning daily cuz they weren’t working full time jobs outside the house. Nowadays, women working careers are fulfilling part of the traditional role of the husband which is to provide. Yet some men STILL expect the woman to cook AND clean everyday after working a full time job, but won’t fulfill some traditional roles of the wife by doing some cooking and cleaning even in days he’s the one at home while she’s at work.

To be clear everyone's usually tired after getting home from work doing a 8hr shift and still cook for themselves when they get back if not order out. Doesn't matter if you want to cook or not if you don't want to hit the hay with a rumbling stomach your gonna do something about it one way or the other. It's not hard cooking enough food for you to eat throughout the week so you won't necessarily need cook every single day. It's also not hard to cook simple and easy thing's like Spaghetti, Soup, Fish Patties, Tuna, Fruit Salad, Regular Salad, Lasagna and etc. At this point I just think it's people being to lazy and selfish to feed themselves on their own terms let alone an extra person (not including kid's). This is coming from a Man that's been dominantly cooking for 5 people including myself for almost 3 years straight now. It's not that hard your just that lazy in most cases. Granted certain jobs are understandable as to why you may not want to but even then I'm sure most people aren't eating out every day.

Being the person who is at home. That's part of the deal. That's when respect breaks down. MAJOIRTY of men still work that old formula but woman want to change it up whenever they want and expect men to stay the same. Naw that's not gonna work for many. I get off work late and come home to a hot meal, served where I sit. We both work full time. I do most of the cleaning because I have a better eye for it and don’t mind it so much. There are days when I’m so tired of laundry he will fold the basket of laundry. And days when he wants to get off his feet so much I’ll cook. (Nothing amazing, but still a warm meal) We are happy and don’t even worry about what ‘role’ we should be in. We get what we need done and we both have strengths and weaknesses. Exactly. Women didn't do all that because they're "female" tasks. They did it, because they had the TIME to do it, because they didn't have to go out and earn a living. That was a FAIR division of labor. Going to work was a DAILY task. Cooking and cleaning were DAILY tasks. So, one person took one set, the other took the other set. The occasional tasks were performed by the working partner, bc he got weekends off from his daily task, but she didn't. Also, he likely had learned to make home repairs, and auto repairs, and mow the lawn, and trim the hedges, and she likely had not. None of those tasks are gendered, though, and THAT'S where alot of people got it fucked up. Now, you really have people running around here, still trying to keep that nonsense going, not even realizing how ridiculous they look and sound when they say it. Smh just pray for 'em, chile, that's all we can do.

I worked in a leading bank for over a decade and saw many women crying over being stay at home moms and now trapped in an unhappy marriage with no career or work experience to get out and able to take care of the children and themselves if something was to happen to the only breadwinner. There was this lady I will never forget who had three little children. The bank I was working at was at a affluent neighborhood. Her husband left and took all the money out of the shared account. She literally had 3 dollars in the account. She had no idea how to buy the kids food that night and what to do next day to survive or pay the mortgage of their huge home, wearing super expensive clothes and driving a super expensive SUV she didn't know how the heck she will pay next month either. I can't understand how women simply think it's logical to depend on another human being. It marked me.

@@lizzyforevermore4 Yes, but not really. The woman's traditional housework gets split, but don't expect her do any of the man's traditional house duties. She's not splitting the yardwork, plumbing, anything regarding fixtures or needing a ladder, hammer, drill, screwdriver or other tools. 50/50 sounds good, but it's really more like the man gets to do 70/30 while the woman gets to claim equality.

@@MusMasi I couldn't possibly have laughed at that dumb shiz so I didn't even think of that. But, now I do realise that this might just be a bad attempt at mocking a recently dead guy - which is even shittierAnd pettier
