This was just a movie, not a documentary. The writers and directors probably weren’t even alive to have seen Fritz wrestle. I loved the movie because it was a good movie, good characters, good settings, good story. I never once expected it to accurately portray the lives of this family. They didn’t even include one of the brothers, and they stated this before even releasing it. Why are people taking this to heart and assuming it’s absolute?

Really liked the movie. Spoke a lot about the father/son relationship dynamic and also the relationship between brothers. It's a good movie for men everywhere to watch and learn from.

I understand that sometimes children ( son's and daughters ) are open to circumstantial situations that might cause them to fall victim to unfathomable heartaches. The Von Eric family were and still are my people. What Kevin has over came speaks volumes on how he was raised and the man he has become and the young men he has raised. And yes I’m as big of a fan of Ross and Marshal as I am of the other guys. Kevin is trying to explain what is nobody’s business to begin with. The problem is the Von Eric’s are and were bigger then any celebrity of the time

There was a lot I didn't like about The Iron Claw - and the portrayal of Fritz is at the top of the list. I really hated the scene between Kevin and Fritz after they found Kerry. I almost walked out of the theatre.

@@johndcornell6341 it’s actually way more complicated than that. I know the family very well. They were never the same after the first child died at the age of six. After so much tragedy she really didn’t wanna be around anybody man. You gotta think you lose five of your sons you probably, nowhere near the same person, especially when it comes to being around people. The whole family was dealing with grief. Kevin and the whole family talks much more in detail about this on their new podcast if you have not seen it.

The movie doesn't acknowledge the time and effort that whole family put into the art. It's terrifying to think that their life experiences were caricaturized when this really happened, and most of the family is gone.

I wish he would stop throwing his brothers under the bus about the drugs. The drugs started for everyone waaay before the motorcycle accident. Here in Texas their drug issues were well known. There are too many wrestlers also telling the same story about Fritz and their drug use. You can’t rewrite the story, Brother. Maybe that is what helps him sleep at night.

If you want the truth about the von Erichs... please find OLD OLD DOCUMENTARIES/ VIDEOS from the early 2000s by just normal people. Kevin is too reheased and believes his own crap. Vids being made recently gloss over alot of information for time constraints. the movie was good to watch but 90% drama.
