This makes Mr. Bungle look like a top 40 ballad band by comparison. I love it.

I think this was one of his best live performances, especially because of how much importance he gave to the singing and how little mistakes he made, but even then, every other perfomance of his is still mindblowing.

It shows Yoshida's skills nicely and it has better sound than most Ruins videos around here. KZbin needs more Ruins!

I am curious if this is the same Yatsuya that I watched live in 1995 at the Nagoya City Melodias Punk? During that show, I purchased their tape labeled "Elsa Kraus - Melodias Punk-" Can not find any Google information on that title.

How the fuck is this the most popular Ruins vid on utube? I'm not saying it sucks, i'm just curious as to how this video has so many more views than the others. Seriously these guys are severely underappreciated

What's the name of the song that starts at about 5:08? I read once that it's actually a Koenji song, but I don't know which one... In any case, it's awesome.

I've never heard Ruins in this programmed electronic backing track format. It sounds like he's going in and out of a ton of shit very quickly, some of these 'tunes' I can recognize. I do miss the sound of the thrashing bass, but regardless, this guy is a monster. I've seen him live a couple times, and he absolutely never lets up, always keeps it furious.

damn... he is a sick drummer. I like how a some times he is a little off beat (during the more free form parts_ and then when the band comes together they are incredibly tight.

Damn, what a badass drummer. Singing leaves a bit to be desired, but I bet if I listened to it a bit more I'd start getting into it. Either way, this kicks ass.
@Merluzz15 жыл бұрын
Certainly his music is tasted better if you are a Zeuhl fan. For profanous listeners (including who listened Magma already) it sounds a bit redoundant. But - as I have already said - he's great.

no offense to magma, but im not quite sure how you can bash this for not having intensity, and then praise magma on the same accord. Magma for most of their work seem sort of lethargic, only when they get overly operatic is there a real significant tension, or at least that's how i see it. Regardless, yoshida's work is almost always more chaotic and brash

I think it's wrong... technically it might be of some level I agree but musically it's poor. I can't hear any game on intensity : it's all load and load. Magma made Zeuhl music ok but they made music first of all, here, it's only pretending to me.
