Halo Studios Bringing Back Invasion and Halo 5 Anniversary Mode?

For me, invasion mode can only work if there is payable elites. Its just that feeling of playing as the covenant is so cool. Now im sure if they did invasion without the elites and just sparten v sparten, it will still be fun, but it won't feel the same for me.

I’ve got a feeling they might. Why else would they bring Invasion out of left field? Literally nobody asked for the Invasion, but it’s a way to bring back Elites that makes them integral to a mode. It’ll bring lots of players

Never gonna happen tbh. I have a feeling this new invasion mode is just here because we just got forgeable ai, and In lore, it would make sense for Spartans to be there because the banished actually allows humans to join. Also, they would have to basically rebuild the game to just have playable elites. Things will have to be scaled correctly, it's not easy as a 1, 2, 3 because the game was not made for it. Next game however, I believe is more likely.

@@TheDeltaSquad-jf5jl that’s bogus. Adjusting player models is not that difficult. They never did it before because 343 has a strange obsession with the game being competitive. Their entire player retention model was based on the game being competitive and FOMO. That was always the clear reason that they did anything, outside of a half-baked firefight and seasonal modes. They need more of a player base going into the next game. It’s crunch time. Microsoft isn’t going to give them the advertising leverage that Halo has had in the past. They need to start making players happy, it would only make sense to start with the biggest and most longstanding player request.

Personally , I feel like Halo Infinite still has a LOT of potential. But the studio will have to invest time and resources. They can pause their new halo game and keep expanding infinite. I would buy DLC campaigns

Lightbulb! Linear pvp maps! The map would always be changing so the battle aspect keeps changing and as a teammate spawns they spawn further down the map behind teammates as you progress across the linear map. Side note Escalation ctf would be fun

Halo NEEDS a solid linear singer player campaign 32 v 32 destructible environment conquest style battlefield inspire BTB Classic arena (slayer, CTF, swat etc of course) And a Helldivers style PVE mode with an integrated live dynamic story that is in universe and evolving with the player base And forge and customs server browser (of course) Make halo great again

Halo infinite is the king of dropped or unused assets, they dropped the multiplayer story, the academy only there for training and no other use, they don’t add the new weapons to the range or campaign, now that I think about it when was the last time they added new AIs

What's 343 should have done was made a mobile hub, where you can mess around on certain Maps specifically live fire considering if you play the tutorial you seamlessly go into the map. This way it would make the firing range not only more accessible with less loading screens but just objectively better in every way, if anyone's old enough to remember the original Ghost Recon training you went through this base that showed you the fundamentals of the game.

We've got the mutilator shotgun in forge too. They never removed it. Some forge campaigns feature it, I played one the other night. There were some crazy collectible modifiers, one where you turned into a supercharged infection player model with weapon combo's. It was a bit of an eye opener in terms of what Halo is/could be, but cuz its in the CGB it's slept on. Stuff like that should be in matchmaking IMO.

They need to iterate on what they did in halo 5 with that games pvpve mode and make that the invasion mode with covenant elites and Spartans making up the teams. Make capture zones spawn additional AI reinforcements/vehicle’s respective to the team that captured them. Literally would be game of the year

Loved halo 5 mp, specifically infection, I went from level 100-149 purely from infection. Loved it and then infinite came out and it died.

Halo Infinite could have been the redemption, instead of killed off even more Halo fans for good... Biggest opportunity in the franchise and they dropped the ball so hard. It had such a positive and exciting vibe when it dropped and so many people were playing it again. If only this type of support was available from the start

Invasion without elites is like battlefield without its conquest mode. Sure it's the game, but it doesn't have it's identity. If 343 wanna be lazy (yes still calling them 343 until they prove to me they got the wheel) it would be better to bring back dominion from halo 4.

💚. Thanks for the vid Kev. You have interesting concerns about paying forgers. I think they should get paid. Especially considering how reliant Infinite is on forge content. Perhaps this would make things administratively complex for Halo Studios but they should at least get a cut of micro-transactions like the pro teams did. They deserve some compensation for their time.

As much as 343 has disappointed, Halo 5 multiplayer was really special to me. I started gaming on halo 3, loved reach, dispised 4, loved 5, never gaslit into thinking infinite was good. As far as im concerned halo is pretty much dead under 343/Halo Studios but 5 is up there with the bungie games minus the story. Even the matchmade firefight and Blitz modes were good. Halo 5 deserves to be on MCC.

On the old Waypoint forums I left them feedback on how best to consolidate the playlists in order to allow the vast majority of playlist content to remain available even without a match composer being implemented. That's what I want to see for the anniversary of Halo 5 Guardians.
