Seldom am I at a loss for words, but I’m speechless after watching your video Kevin. I transform into a kid again who would love to run from room to room (but would not be allowed) looking at your decorations and finally sitting perched on your elegant carved chairs. Your cooking directions are explained so well; I will be trying these exquisite dishes. Your lesson to all is subtle but apparent..self-worth is nurtured when we take our time to make our daily activities look special, feel special. I came across this video today and its mid August now. My brother passed Dec 8th last year and my mum's birthday was Dec 14th. She died 5 days later. I never told her he died. So one week before Christmas, my family was wiped out. I went to the beach Christmas Day (hot in December in Oz). Needless to say l am dreading December this year but watching this vlog inspired me and renewed my joy. Or at least sparked it which is an astonishing feat. Thank you Kevin. You are such a calming and positive presence. And boy, can you cook! 😊❤🎉

Wow....There are so many aspects of this episode I could comment on. I'm one of those cooks who believes red meat.... whether steak cuts or ground beef, should be medium cooked. It comes from the same animal regardless. I must try to source puff pastry, because the rest I can do with ease. Finally, when you send me your tea set, you can throw in the entire dinnerware set shown in this video. All you'll need is a bigger box. You'll find a replacement set somewhere, and change is always good.

🎀🎄🎀 Happy Holidays Kevin ! Your recipes are right up my alley. Will check out your cookbook. I have that old fashioned orange juicer in my collection of jade ware, however now have a bit of arthritis in my thumb joints. Just purchased an electric juicer and love it so much, I made a huge pitcher of lemonade :-) That soup is now on my list to try. And I love desserts that incorporate beaten egg whites. The.compliments of the season Kevin! Your table setting looks lovely; it would not have occurred to me to mix the dark blue and caramel colours but it is a really effective combination. When decorating a pie with pastry offcuts, my mother taught me a very simple trick. Using a sharp paring knife, cut out leaf shapes and just score in the pattern of the leaf veins. Then, cut strips of the pastry about half to three-quarters off an inch wide and about 4 inches long. Wind up the strip, not too tightly, and between finger and thumb pull out petal shapes from each layer. When using a pie funnel, which props up the pastry lid as well as providing a steam vent, the pretty rose pastry shape sits loosely on top with the leaves surrounding it. Having said that this is a simple hack my description makes it sound really. complicated but I do assure you that it isn't! I hope all Kevinafficiados have a happy Christmas and good New Year!.

I'm not usually keen on meatloaf but yours looks extra special for Christmas guests. Definitely well worth making. Your puff pastry looks simply amazing! No pine cones in my case but I do have a small holly tree loaded up with berries! I love this menu. I am a person who likes meatloaf. It's comfort food to me. I never thought to wrap it up in puff pastry. Genius! The carrot soup looks delicious and healthy. The roasted cruciferous vegetables are a great addition to the Wellington. Of course the chocolate caramel mousse is the perfect ending to this satisfying holiday dinner. Love how you set the table with the evergreen decorations. I think that I can make this dinner. 🎄🎀

Hi Kevin, just to report back that I made this Carrot, Ginger and Garlic Soup two days ago. There's loads of it too! It certainly needs to rest in the fridge for 24 hours to let the fantastic tastes develop and blend and then, it tastes just fantastic. A bit like Squash Soup. Full of flavour and plenty of body.
