Is the A7o call remotely close? I would think it’s an ICM snap fold. Gtd to be crushed or 60/40 on the bubble, doesn’t seem the best option. Then again, I’m not winning high rollers lol nice video Kevin!

A7 call all in is an ICM suicide I think with 5 other shorter stacks than yours. I think your calling range here is A10s+, 77+

Its not even close to that. U dont want to be flipping with 77 against so many suited connectors (89, 9T, 8T, etc.). If u put this spot into icmizer gonna result in 99 and AQoff being marginals.

I refuse to believe that A7o call is good. Could be wrong though, but with ICM and stacksizes and min cash being as big as it is, I just don't see it being enough ahead.

What’s better, fighting for a min cash which you still may not even get or taking your 60/40 for a stack that lets you apply pressure on the bubble and go for the top 3 way, WAY more often? I think if people embraced the variance and went for the win more often in these spots they would be surprised by the results.

He took the spot and won the entire tournament when had he passed on it he may not have even cashed, and if he did he’s probably gonna have to settle for 5-6th for 1/4 of the money. ICM makes people incredibly nitty and easy to play against. Also, if you play against the same people Regularly showing them you aren’t afraid to bubble has to have a lot of value

@@joshuapatrick682 yeah as I said, could be wrong, but I’ve seen enough ICM sims to assume that you’re losing $EV by calling there. Now you can make arguments for the future EV of having a big stack, so you might be correct that you’re going to win it more often. Problem is if you got the option between getting $1000 15% of the time or 300 85% of the time, anyone with common knowledge would choose option 2!

I started playing on GGPoker again after months, and in 2 hours the only hands I went all-in and get called for my tournament life I get it in good against 3 outs and lose every time.
