My rear hatch glass release button had been stuck since I bought the truck in 2008. I finally had a chance to fix it. Hope this video is helpful.

Great video. As Diy ers that is the kind of repair video we look for the most. Anyone can swap parts if they got the money to throw around, but a lot of people need to do these repairs to survive financially. So great work, and keep em coming! Tip; give multiple repair methods if possible. Like; If you don't own a vice and are a driveway apartment mechanic, you could just wrap some sandpaper around a large socket that fits in the hole of the latch and chuck it in your drill with a socket driver adapter, then sand open the latch hole that the button goes into. Take care. As dad always said when we were going out to pick up Chinese food, there's more than one way to skin a cat. Jpol.

Kevin, thank you again. This video came up as to watch and it was addressing what I wanted to fix next on my '07 Envoy. After I took out the piece, I followed World Explorer's advice and hit it up with WD-40. I have a working button now. Thank you both. If you ever find yourself in Lincoln Nebraska, I'll cook you a meal.

I simply just hit it with WD while the button was still in place. Works great now.

Great video. My issue is that when I click on the fob to lock all the doors, all four doors will lock except the rear glass. How do I know, well once it’s completely lock I’ll push that bottom and my glass door will open and setting up my alarm system. I can’t figure out what is the problem. Any help will be appreciated

My 1998 Chevy Trailblazer Window hatch will not open. The button pushes in, but will not release the window hatch. The key also turns to the left and right. What do I need to do to get this window hatch button to release the hatch window ?

I would start by taking off the trim panels and checking on the condition of the lock mechanism.

What caused this to happen was at some point time some one was towing a trailer and the tongue came loose and smashed the button.

It looked like the button on my truck was tampered with at some point.
