You can always give the car some big, heavy balls, like 8s-Steve has on one of his trucks. It will give the car a heavy low point=)

I got different foams and tires but want to see what it can do with stock tactical body and stock Axle weights before I try adding weight to the portals. Nice video by the way

Great test! You can also run a stiffer dual stage foam in the rear to improve vertical climbs like you did at the end of the video, since the weight transfers to the rear wheels. I could see the rubber wrapping around the rear rim on the footage. Another tip is to use shoe goo to secure the inner foam to your wheel's inner ring to keep it from shifting out of true.

I know I'm commenting on an older video, but can/do/will you also compare the Defender/Tactical RTR to the Bronco/Blazer RTR? I know the specs are almost the same and the difference is mainly the body, wheel base and fenders/shock tower, but I'm curious to see what you thing of the shorter wheel base and perhaps lower center of gravity. Looking forward to your opinion since you know the TRX-4 well.

That was impressive, I was hoping to see you crest that last climb. Great foams, I accidently found them, when looking for some closed cell 3.8 sizes, I love them.
@ajlalla8986 жыл бұрын
Wow that was some great info. I knew the foams would help but not that much. Impressive.

what would happen if you put some jaco tires on it would you get more due to no roll
@grski9000000000000005 жыл бұрын
The reason the Tires were so hard to mount is because the inner rings are too shallow , if you buy RC4WD proline rings it’s easy to fit The Traxxas and Proline Tires , I lost 4 hours of my life trying to get them to sit correctly , took 15 mins with the RC4WD proline rings 🤗

I find the key is you get multiple crawlers that are weighted and set up very differently. Then what one truck doesn’t make it through, or over you can always try the next...Something needs to last way with a little less traction I break out vehicle A... then when they go and gets a little different you need more weight with a lot of traction you break out vehicle B...Have about four or five vehicles set up within that range and you can never lose

I wanna see this test but without steel axel, just brass portal gear housing. I think because its portal axels, the added weight of the steel is too high CG. So maybe it could improve this angle further. Nice vid :)

Great Video Kevin. Those Crawler innovation foams work perfectly. Those tires you had on there seem to work well also. My favorite tires are Proline Flat Iron XL's, and the Proline TSL SX Swamper XL's They both work great for me. Keep up the good work. Have fun man.

Although nothing was sent to the moon and nothing was broken!, this i thought was one of your best "series" Kev :) been thinking about getting a TRX-4 and this vid has defo helped me decide on some worth while hop ups, The new inserts are brilliant , was looking at the "yeah racing" upgrades to add more weight as i was sure for straight climbing it will help ? but for side angle and decent I was not sure the added weight would help ? Still unsure about descents but this proved the added weight and 2 cell inserts make a big improvement ;) Great vid Kev at least i have not had to waste money to see the results, Thankyou buddy great job.
