As a relatively new person to RC, I found "S" on batteries confusing because people always refer to "cells", which doesn't match the S. That's because the S is for cells linked in "series" that give more volts, as opposed to cells parallel linked that would provide more amps at the same volts.
@TheBod762 жыл бұрын
Same with "KV" on motors, which normally stands for Kilovolt in electrics, but here it means "revolution per Volt".

Skimming a few comments, and the common theme here, and my finding is that you have some extremely intelligent subscribers that are beyond dedicated to this hobby who really know their shiiii. when it comes to RC. You were almost right about the S meaning Kev, S stand for series, more cells in series equals more voltage, more cells in parallel equals more capacity.

For what you are paying for the shocks, i wish they had an option for adjustable dampning in both high speed and low speed becasue a stiffer dampning will perform better at slow speeds, but will unsettle the car at high speeds. Also for rounded hex screws or bolts, I use a small flat head screw driver and hammer it in then get it out, it ruins the screw more, but it works
@otherSid0982 жыл бұрын
have you ever thought about making your own Rc car out of old RC cars that barely work?
@skullbones74522 жыл бұрын
Kev that used oil is gray.Its full of pieces of aluminium and iron.Thats why your shocks start leaking so fast.The new oil rings get eaten as they scrape off the dirty oil from the pistons.Some small pieces of metal in the oil immediatly start cutting up the rings.It wears out the rings superfast.Always use new oil.If you dont have extra oil.At least poor the dirty oil troug a coffee filter or something so the biggest mess is out it.

Wish I was there havin fun too lol . The truck looked great but it looks nose heavy . Also with the ESC on one side instead of the middle where the weight is evenly balanced . I think the next new toy should b scales to measure the weight under each wheel . Then this way the truck will fly more evenly & land better lol . I think FlySky makes the scales . It will also b good idea for the real monster truck . I also didnt see U bleed the air out of the shocks . That also could b why its landing hard. Just my thoughts . . .

A little more detail surrounding the "S" rating for those that might be curious: "S" stands for series, and indicates the number of cells in series. Likewise, "P" indicates the number of cells in parallel. A "2S2P" battery has a total of four cells, two parallel pairs in series. Each cell is 3.7 Volts, so multiplying the "S" rating number times 3.7 will give you the nominal total voltage of the battery.

God I love the sheer size, and realism of your Raminator..(😅thats what she said).. HOWEVER.. this is unequivocal proof that size, and mainly weight are what work against these RC Cars. The "1:5" scale Kraton is damn near pushing as big and heavy as any RC can possibly be without undergoing catastrophic failure with even semi delicate landings! Even in that case. the big EXB Kraton must be beefed up fully with M2C everything, and is around 3500-4K fully built. All being said... Kevin truly proved that OUT OF BOX, the XMAXX is still the unequivocal king of bashing. Until we get some kind of exotic super light-weight, super-strong, chassis/suspension/powerplant there is simply no way imo. to have a durable/fast Raminator. It will just self destruct over, and over again, leaving your wallet set a-blaze! 😅🔥🔥💸💸💸 I have saw monster trucks *the real ones* up close. Notice just how ridiculously overbuilt evvvverrrrything is! I would like to see this scaled down into something like the Raminotor in a way in which it can actually handle the abuse! (I really do not know if that is even possible) All metal we have has its flex/breaking points. If its titanium.. it just snaps! Machined out of solid billet alum. would be the only thing I can think of that could be used for size/scale that would be strong enough to handle the impacts/load under jumping/crashing. The downside.. ungoddddly expensive to have each and every part made this way. All of the regular 6061 stuff is just weak/bendy.. even the 7075 stuff may not work unless machined in a way where everything is reinforced/gusseted/braced. Stainless, even 304 would work, but bend, and ultimately snap in half as well. Biggest downside again comes back to overall weight! Fully building out the Raminator in a way which could handle this... pfffff... I can only imagine that it would weigh damn near twice what it does now! Then... you have to go back and upgrade to an even biiiiiiger motor/esc/batteries to handle the mass. Such a challenge when it comes to high end parts with massive RC Cars, to have your cake and eat it too! Great video Kev!
