That is exactly what happened to mine. Shock end broke in exactly the same place. Just one though. Only I didn't even jump it. Just did some hefty flips by accident. Great car though.

I just bought this car and while driving it around for the first time one of the shocks broke, I was not doing any jumps. I don't want to get the stock ones again because they seem to be really weak. So my question is what shock would you suggest to replace the stock ones with?

The hobby shop I bought said they are breaking in the middle. All of them. There's a super sized ones that's supposed to be "tougher" you have to buy. Researching and reading your comment and everybody else's appears THIS is the issue and they caused this inherit fault in them!!!!

I have an older vorteks from a few years ago, with the brushed motor. It is 2wd and I swapped it out to have a brushless motor. It looks a bit different than the new ones for sure.

Kevin. With the 203mph car, give it a good check over before sending it. I was also wondering about putting some short pieces of fuel tubing on the shaft of the shocks, it'll help the car not to bottom out and will also have some give in it, basically it'll act as another spring. I don't know what length to use but it should help. Can't wait for the video. 🚗💨

Big Rock is longer and has taller shock towers and shock length, 3s Typhon and Big Rock are the same except for body and hex size

I have both and Like the other comments, BR has long wheelbase chassis and longer shocks. The Vorteks has an updated radio and esc. So yeah, they are quite different.

I bought one of these a week or so ago. Ya showed the good bits, but it does have some problems. 1. Runs out of battery within 15 mins as well as thermal shut down with in 10 mins. 2. It catches rocks in the servo saver, locking up the steering. Other than that it’s an insane truck that can take a beating.

I have all of the 3S RCs from Arrma, and this one is the fastest, by about 5mph over the Typhon. I got mine to 55mph, stock out of the box!
