I think when Edris Elba talked about not wanting to be called a black actor he wasnt trying to get away from being black or being uncle tomish but he was just saying he doesn't want to be typified or differentiated as just a "black" actor. He wants to be known for being a good actor who happens to be black.And he also mentions that alot of the time he is the first that looks like him to do certain feats like him in acting so he understands that. He's also mentioned alot of issues with racism from time to time with police brutality. Plus,when was the last time you heard a publication mention an actor as a "white" or 'jewish" actor for dat fact. Why is it brought up only with everyone else that isn't them? That's part of the point being made.

I could be COMPLETELY wrong, but I noticed Angel’s silence and body language when Keith Lee was mentioned. I really really really really REALLY hate that Angel was not at least tagged or mentioned in Keith’s tik tok, which I feel was as a result of Kev indirectly redirecting Keith during the interview when Keith stated they both had his number (I’m sure he would’ve followed by sharing it with Angel after interview) and access to him. I’m aware Angel isn’t co-founder of KOSS nor is she a partner to KevOnStage the personality. They are separate entities coming together on a podcast. I also get that there’s protocol and certain unspoken etiquette in the industry - I. Get. It - BUT it hits me differently, here, because again they are separate entities. Both Kev and Angel should’ve walked away from this feeling they made a genuine connection with Keith the person because of how they handled him and the interview AND BOTH feel they made a business connect and were granted access to his influence and platform as a result. They both contributed to the warmth and genuine atmosphere that Keith’s spirit agreed with. They both contributed to a successful, exclusive interview. Kev should not have dialed back the natural inclination Keith initially had to connect with them both. Again, I could be wrong as six left shoes, but it’s what I sense Angel feels but has reacted to with grace. All love, Kev. No, like I really love, love you and your platform.
