HPV can clear up, but there is certain strands of HPV I believe 16 and 18 that can lead to cervical cancer if not caught early enough. So ladies get your routine wellness done. That lady might have gotten either one of those strands.

also means that she was likely unvaccinated against HPV - the vaccine protects against strains including 16 and 18 that can lead to cervical cancer. and likely had unprotected intercourse...which can reduce the risk as well of contracting HPV... unfortunate either way. So I got diagnosed with hpv and end up getting a cone biopsy, turns out it wasn't cancerous. I didn't know nothing about this at the time and didn't know it lead to cervical cancer. But I did a surgery and removed it and it never came back. YET I guess. I heard HPV and immediately heard HIV. Years later in realizing how much danger I was in.

Gonna start by saying (1) I love the show generally and (2) I'm a sex educator and doula by trade. This is the 2nd or 3rd episode where sexual/reproductive health related information came up and some of the discussion made me cringe a little. For most cases, HPV can clear up on it's own. There are strains of HPV that could lead to genital warts, and other strains that could lead to cervical, and other, cancers. It's *very* common for people to not have any signs or symptoms of an STI- so things like full panel STI testing (for everyone), Pap smears with HPV testing (for folks with a cervix), and sexual health education (for everyone) are important.

There has to be more to this GEICO case. There has to be. The damages were too remote with regard to the insurance contract issued for the car to be covered. If you catch an STD in your house, your home insurance company isn't going to pay. Your health insurance is, depending on your cover. Car insurance doesn't normally cover everything that happens in a car. It covers everything reasonably foreseeable that can happen in or to a car in the course of normal usage. If you contract a disease from shooting up in the car or smashing in the car, that's not normal usage. It's too remote.
