If your completely lost go back to comptia a+. I always tell people to look at that first before going over my lab videos. Your skipping different videos without watching the important ones that help you understand the content. You need to go back to basics and go over comptia A+ to understand this stuff. I loved your video as it was so helpful. However, I am running into a problem and google isn't helping. I have tried looking for the server manager but I did not find it anywhere. I am running Windows 11 and am not sure if the server manager is not installed by default on Windows 11. I remember using it a long time ago on the same pc but for some reason, It is not there anymore even if search for it

Windows 11 will have issues with this which is why I use 10. Windows tools on 11 is very unstable

you can if you learn Microsoft Azure and the basics of system admin. Either you learn Azure or AWS. Those are the two things you might need to learn. It depends on the company. I would check online and search locally to see what people want you to have as a system admin in your area if that makes sense.

Hey Kev! Why does the network connection go down in your VM after the settings apply when you created your domain? Mine did the same thing. Started video 3 and notice yours is back. Can you help?

doesn't go down, internet still works even though it has yellow triangle on it. You have to go to network settings on ipv6 and turn off dns settings.

I did follow all instructions you gave,but I think what happend was that my server had to network connection after the installation for some unknown reason. I the messed things up by deleting some tabs under the AD tools(e.g domain and user compute etc.) I'm not sure what I was trying to prove by deleting them🙈

Can be several reasons why it's doing that. It's usually slow when you install active directory because these services need to run for the first time when you boot it up. It can also be slow because of low memory.

Are you doing it on a Mac machine? Better off doing the vm on Azure if it doesn't work.
