The best chassis in a front wheel drive hot hatch in my opinion. I’ve just restored over the last two years a 172 cup, I ended up spending a lot more than what I should have really but at the end of it I’ve got a car that is really fun to drive, it’s not all about the horsepower sometimes, with these cars you can grab them by the scruff of the neck and redline them!

I have the 1.4i 16 valve version, and I know the airbag and service light problem is the plug under the passenger seat causing the warning lights to illuminate. Just a connection issue. Mine has a storage compartment under that seat and if you put something in that compartment and disturb or unknowingly wiggle that connection the warning light usually comes back on. I've tied it to another position using a cable tie or zip-tie as some people call it, and problem was solved. There is just one thing I'm struggling to fix on my Clio. I've done internet research but could find nothing. Let me explain. I installed reverse parking sensors on my car, and all of a sudden, my indicator warning sound (that tick-tock sound) when you put the indicator or turn signal on disappeared. The indicators flashes on the outside and the green arrows on the instrument cluster are also working normally, it just stopped making that tick-tock sound. I know it's not that big of a deal, but it has happened that I forget the indicator on while driving because I don't hear that audible indicator warning sound inside the car. According to my research, they say it's a small speaker inside the instrument cluster that normally makes that sound, it's not a mechanical relay like the older cars. According to google that same little speaker also makes other warning sounds like leaving the key in the ignition, leaving the headlights on, or driving without a seatbelt. But that tells me the indicator tick-tock sound must be coming from another speaker, because all the other audible warnings still work fine on mine. Nobody can tell me where that indicator tick-tock sound is supposed to come from. I've stripped the dash but couldn't figure this out. I also disconnected my reverse sensors (PDC) to test if the tick-tock sound will return, but it's still gone, and yes, I did check all fuses and replaced all relays, but no luck. Some say the two little speakers or tweeters on top of the dash could be the problem, but I've tested those too, they also work fine because there is some sound coming through them when switching on my radio. It's a complete mystery to me. I love my Clio, mine is in showroom condition, these Clio's are truly great little cars. Just that one small little issue for me to solve on mine.

nice result on the injector, if it turns out to be a decent car they are worth good money with the cambelt kit done, also that top centre air vent is part of the dash board, those sports have the soft touch plastics which go sticky and nasty and peel, i know some people swap them for the standard non soft touch ones, never been a fan of the alloys on these, they come with much better but expensive options

@@Mouse2113 Yes, I thought the general consensus among owners was every 4 years but wasn't sure on the mileage interval 👍 It's well worth doing as I think most people buying one would want to see it having been done otherwise they'd factor it in and would want a discount to have it done.
