The Keweenaw is my favorite place in the world. Ever since I first saw Lake Superior I’ve never wanted to be far from it. I moved my family out here to northern Wisconsin from utah just to be closer. The first part of the lake I ever saw was Keweenaw Bay and being from the desert I thought that bay was all of Lake Superior. The guy I was with said “oh man you just wait you ain’t seen nothin yet”. He was very right.

Being a Michigander my whole life ( Muskegon area) it has always intrigued me to read or hear about the old shipwrecks of the Great Lakes. But to see pictures and video of some is the icing on the cake. Thank You...a nice job indeed!

Fantastic! Well done. I grew up in Minnesota and heard all the stories and legends about this wonderful area. Superior reminds me so much of the Black Sea; dark, mysterious, cold and anaerobic. Perfect for preserving everything that sinks. Really enjoyed this.

When we were kids (about 16-17 years ago) my sister and I pulled an axle from an extremely old car (someone told us it was probably from a ford model A but the person wasnt some car expert or anything) out of 20 feet of water off 7 mile point on the borth shore, now that i saw this im thinking it might be off one of those chryslers, I'll ask my dad if we still have it and update.

I am writing about a young boy growing up in the UP, his father working in one of the copper mines... problem: I know there must be ship wrecks in the keweenaw area, can't find much, also not finding much information about day to day life in a copper mine...can any one give any guidance?
