the Only "Good Guy" in the series was the Pilot of White Glint (AC4's main character) and his eventual loss (it isn't said he died, but his AC was so unique as to be unrepairable) heralded the end of civilization, taking many years for everyone to pick up the peices by the time of AC V.

Keith Filibeck The point I was making was that ACV isn't a reboot. Although tenuous, it's a tie-in. ACVD can't be a direct sequel to ACfA because it's a direct sequel to ACV and makes reference to it quite heavily. From what I know amongst the AC community, ACV is set about 400yrs after ACfA's Destruction Path takes place and ACVD is set 100yrs after the end of ACV. Furthermore, Maggie is the daughter of Francis Curtis from ACV, in which case ACV IS a sequel to ACfA. All these facts are on the AC Wiki, so you can check yourself if you doubt me.

I know all of this, and more, I know that "J" goes on to become Hustler One, and that ACV is a pequel to Armored Core 1, hence Hustler One/Nine Ball having advanced NEXT tech in the first series of games,(not to mention "J" qoutes Hustler One, verbatim)

VD fixes A LOT of the problems ACV had. The frame rate is kicked up to 60fps, which helps A LOT w/ the frame rate issues.

Actually, now that I think of it, people with very twisted ideas of morality may consider the Destruction Path as a means of _euthanizing_ humanity. About the only _actual_ good thing about the Destruction Path is that the Corporations _finally_ get their comeuppance for putting humanity in this bind to start with.

Both CoD Black Ops games run at 1080p 60fps w/o any slowdown on PS3. This conversation is getting derailed though, ACVD DOES run at 60fps. I had to research this so I could figure out the cycle rates for my weapons on certain builds. When I was doing tests using 30fps, the cycle rates were badly skewed, but after switching to 60fps the cycle rates were dead on.

Yes, we can agree on that. In fact, the final battle on COLLARD side was hard as hell, I underestimated it tbh, but I still think Riedrpolish aka Win D Fanchon was more annoying than both...given she would take your PA down super quick then finish you with a few shots from her laser cannon... -.- that pissed me off.

They are all "good". It just depends on which side you are on that determines the "bad" ones. Personally I preferred not to take sides and killed everybody. Being bad is so much simpler .

Just said it on another video, but it's a real pity the localization wasn't handled better. The story for these games when you look at everything that's going on in them is actually pretty good, but so much was lost in the translation so as to render it essentially moot. *SPOILERS* However, as far as what I think is canon, in regards to the endings, the only one I can think of that fits with V and VD is the ORCA path, because the Cradles would have to keep flying steadily higher and higher to stay out of the Kojima pollution, eventually coming within range of the Assault Cells. And the Assault Cells are specifically stated to destroy anything within their range. Also, I wish fA had allowed more opportunity to strike at Omer Science, because they really are the closest to actual villains in this game, after Old King. Though, he's little more than a sociopath that is easily taken care of without having Strayed at his side.

MadCrashSJ According to AC fanatics I've talked to, ACV is the result of the Destruction Path (the player character becomes the greatest mass murderer in human history.) Mind you it's all speculation, but since I've heard to many ppl agree upon it, there has to be SOME grain of truth to it.

Regardless, whether it was the Destruction or ORCA path, the Cradles fell. That being said, even with the League path, the Assault Cells would eventually end up targeting the Cradles.

It's 60fps, but regardless, an overhauled engine helps a lot too. There's only a couple of times I had it slow down on my PS3.

@nejiharuno AC4A had a surprising amount of translation errors. Especially in the briefings, the most blatant two of which I can remember was the only BFF mission where The GA mission broker said 'enemy forces attacking Omer's Sphere' but the Omer forces were the ones attacking, and calling the already incorrectly translated Megalis (Should be Megalith)... 'Megaris.' Japanese need to stop mixing up 'r' and 'l', 's' and 'th'. xD

PS3/360 can handle 60fps, most of the Battlefield/Call of Duty games run 1080p at 60fps.

This does remind me, I still need to figure out a way to show my girlfriend the AC's I designed for her in Armored Core 3. If I could record videos, I'd simply do that. She asked for some random stuff, and I slapped it all together and it turned out to be pretty bitchin'. Looks like somethin' that Ace or Hustler-One would make their Arcadia or Nine-Ball out of. I'm pretty sure it'd be even more bitchin' if I could max out Op-Intensify, lol.

Sadly that is incorrect, CoD games run sub 1080, but are upscaled. 60 FPS, sure. But it's not "true" 1080. ACVD itself probably does not run at 1080 as well, but 60 FPS is conceivable. Both consoles basically run most games at 720 but are resized IF you change your settings to 1080p. It's only noticeable if you also have a PC that can output true 1080p.
