this is so simple, only three guys to play it, a simple bass line, simple drum beat, no crazy guitar tabs, no extremely fast or high vocals, but its still one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard i listened to this hundreds of times but every single time i come here the existance of such songs stones me

It’s really rare for a drummer to just settle into a beat, and not react to anything going on in the song. It’s almost hypnotic. Another great song like this is breaking the girl by the chili peppers.

Smth abt this song makes me wish I had someone, and I used to cry sometimes listening to this song bc it reminded me so much about this girl that I liked for a very long time and I wasn’t able to ask her out, out of a combination of fear and her own inaccessibility bc of an extended quarantine. I would literally be in TEARS. I got over her eventually, but this song still holds a place in my heart where I feel longing when I hear it. I know this song probably isn’t about love and heartbreak, but that’s how I interpreted it and therefore that’s how it affected me

their sound is so perfect for taking you to a place that's hard to talk about - a place where you want to cry, want to be held, want to explore, want to open yourself up and completely soak up another person or idea. this song will always make me think of a person who means the world to me. whether or not that works out is irrelevant. I met you at a strange time in my life - and you are the love of my life. you reminded me that life is worth living - you are what I couldn't find, and where I break down. thank you so much for giving me purpose again, and for reminding me that life is beautiful. my love for you knows not limits.

I keep coming back here to satisfy my late night KZbin live music concert night. The (new) failure albums are unbelievably🎉underrated. This performance is a rare glimpse of the band doing their thing. Personally love seeing Kelliii doing “it”. (Forgive me, I’m a drummer) Wish there was more footage out there. Thank you guys for giving me this and being Faiure. ✊🏽

Failure are 100% my favourite band of the 90s. Their songwriting, instrumentation, themes of social isolation and addiction are only matched by Alice in Chains IMO. The fact this band never made it into the big 5 is tragic but also strangely fitting in a bittersweet sense.

Nice, a fellow AIC and Failure fan? Yeah they're the only bands that can capture that haunting beauty im looking for in music while still being heavy and gritty af.

Placebo seem to have been massively influenced by this band, just like many others. Why, oh why, didn't I hear about this band 10-20 years ago? It breaks my heart thinking of all the memories I could have had with this band and this song in particular.

@@nimhard their debut self-titled album was really fucking good, and so was their 2nd album "Without you I'm nothing"... Went to shit after that, however they still had some shining moments here and there though, especially on their 5th album "Meds".

One of the most overlooked bands of the 90s. I was able to see them with Swervedriver (another overlooked band) together in 2019. So damn good. It brought back my 90s boner.
