It’s really rare for a drummer to just settle into a beat, and not react to anything going on in the song. It’s almost hypnotic. Another great song like this is breaking the girl by the chili peppers.

Smth abt this song makes me wish I had someone, and I used to cry sometimes listening to this song bc it reminded me so much about this girl that I liked for a very long time and I wasn’t able to ask her out, out of a combination of fear and her own inaccessibility bc of an extended quarantine. I would literally be in TEARS. I got over her eventually, but this song still holds a place in my heart where I feel longing when I hear it. The only song of Failure's that I heard have any airplay was "Stuck On You." That was back in the mid nineties. It wasn't until aught-four that I actually bought the Fantastic Planet album, and when I heard this song, I was totally blown away. It only took listening a handful of times for me to conclude that it is my favorite song of all time and has been so ever since. That whole album is fucking amazing. Failure is truly a phenomenal band.

One of the most overlooked bands of the 90s. I was able to see them with Swervedriver (another overlooked band) together in 2019. So damn good. It brought back my 90s boner.
