Timing for this recommendation couldn't have been better. Being forced to move due to landlord selling the house, stressed beyond stressed trying to find a home for my family and hit a breaking point. Had a mini melt down, sat down to try and calm my nerves and put some music on. Found this and wow...am I glad a clicked it. So relaxing and as someone else said, ethereal. Closed my eyes and it took me somewhere else, somewhere peaceful and helped me regroup. Thank you for posting.

Good on you. Always best to start the little'uns off young learning instruments and languages. got my youngest a guitar and a french language learning book on her 5th birthday. I read about her music just now, she grew up in the next town over from my childhood town, which has basically the same views that inspired her music and I think because of that this art resonates very deeply with me. The brooding dark clouds hanging low, dominating, oppressive, smothering in a windy storm. But looking out to the sea you might see birds circling some god rays in the distance and beyond that the steep shores of Strandir, that are close but feel like a far away distant mystery land, that part of Iceland is one of the least populated.

Eydís is from Blönduós a small town of under a thousand people, the further north you go the more sparse it gets, but there you will find Kálfshamarsvík a beautiful little bay with columnar basalt formations reaching out into the sea, they look a little like the keys of a piano, I think would be a great location to film a video for 'The Northern Sky' there.

El sonido de ese piano es como el transcurso del tiempo durante toda tu vida: primero son segundos, después son minutos, luego semanas, estaciones, años, décadas. Caen las hojas de los árboles, el cielo cambia de color y el sol siempre sigue saliendo para todos. Escuchar esta música es como mirar el mar o como mirar el fuego, durante una noche oscura.
