Great voice/music/vibe. It's funny how some think great music is equivalent to technically proficient musicians/singers. Dean discusses this a bit in his memoir. He readily describes his guitar playing as "sloppy," and though he won't win any singing awards, that's precisely the greatness and charm in his music. Sadly, not everyone gets it. This guy oozes so much talent.

Not read it yet but thanks for reminding me, I can recommend Julian Cope's autobiography as being a good read in return. :) Been a fan of Dean since Galaxie 500 days and was lucky enough to see them a couple of times. Such a massive sound for a 3 piece band.

KEXP Some people like me fell in love with his music and voice at the first moment. Back in 1987, when I heard the first album of Galaxie 500, I listened to it for months, sometimes 3-4 times a day. Luna's period was a natural progress and the present period with his wife Britta is a true climax.
