Incredible how all this music has withstood the test of time. Digable Planets, ATCQ, Arrested Development, EPMD, Ice Cube they were all my go to hip hop of the late 80's early 90's. I don't know about anyone else but my generation killed it! I can't believe how fast time flies here we are all still here in our mid to late 40's and still bopping!

Little known fact Butterfly aka Ismael Butler was a star HS basketball player- point guard, winning back 2 back State titles in 1986 & 1987 at Garfield HS in Seattle, WA. He received a basketball scholarship to UMass then meet up Doodlebug & Mecca and the rest is Digable Planet's history...

Sweden 1995. I was around 18 and living in a small town when I got to know this guy from Germany who was there working at the time. He had the Blowout Comb CD with him and I just loved it from the very first time I heard it. This upload is just Amazing!!! Thank you all for making this happen. =)

Conrad is no joke on them drums. Before the virus I'd see him live around town. I regret not recording him at a DP show in Seattle - LadyBug had to pee so Conrad just solo'd so hard the venue melted. I'm still not sure how his arms didn't fall off.

I saw these guys in San Fran last year. Huge fan! I love them so much!!! They are a gem in the hip hop world. So unique. The live band was the extra touch that made it so awesome. The room was filled with smoke. :)
