One of the most interestingly complicated and beautiful yet simple riffs ever.

nice that this tune is not in 4/4...
@totallynuts75955 жыл бұрын
they *might* have actually composed it in 4/4 but the actual parts the song is made out are not 4 quarter beats long. The intro, as I hear it, is a 9-16th notes long rythmic pattern, and if I am right. I am pretty sure the verse would start on a new bar, not randomly in the middle of one
@puddin4321233 жыл бұрын
@@totallynuts7595 Sounds like it was composed with a 6/8 feel for the verse and 4/4 for the chorus.

Hell is not something to mock. It is a real place where millions of souls are tormented and screaming this very moment. I am appalled that there is such lack of reverence for the reality of hell and making a mockery of those in torment this very moment whom can NEVER be redeemed. Please turn away from this and turn to God now before it is too late. Surrender your life and soul to Jesus who is the image of God made flesh. This is not a joke. Hell is absolutely real. God have mercy. Turn to Jesus Christ who will renew your life, fill your spirit, heal your wounds, steady your relationships, and bring you peace, joy, love, clarity, wisdom and discernement. All these things He has done for me, He will do for you also. Read the Bible, turn from Sin. Please before it is too late. I beg you. Hell is more real than ANYONE would like to believe but nonetheless it is and will be. Jesus Christ is LORD and He is the ONLY way to Heaven. Read God's word, pray, obey the laws of God do not steal, hate, or harbor unforgiveness in your heart. All these things are clearly seen by God. We can hide from each other but no one can hide from God.

If I had to use one word to describe a lot of the music I hear younger musicians making today that word would be 'overwrought'. I realize it's just a style thing but in the last 20 yrs musicians have become, generally, way more emotive, 'damaged' or 'hurt' sounding in their vocal styles & very dramatic in their performances. For someone like me from a slightly older generation it really comes off, too often, as kinda 'put on'. I think growing up with the social media, cell phones, selfies, also a celebrity based art & entertainment scene, people are a little less genuine than they used to be. The music sounds like that too.

+Mick Funz What is this rose-tinted rambling? there has always been 2edgy4you music and theatrics in music. To list a few THE WHOLE FUCKING PUNK SCENE (proto-punk,punk,post-punk,riot grrl,folk, oi, hardcore etc.), experimentation with early electronics, hip-hop, rock and metal in general, THE FUCKING BLUES, jazz, The Beatniks with their theatrical spoken word poetry sessions. let's go further... tribal/world music, early chants can get 3edgy, even some of the earliest monophonic written music had that emotional eddge. Obviously there's a lot of others as well, just getting some basics down. Also with authenticity the rise of POP MUSIC, and the whole thing with the church fabricating modes to fit certain vibes makes that null. I just don't see what your point is here... Btw, for a little meme ;) kidss these dayss wit ther, books, newspapers, and telegrams. I remember when it was just rocks, sticks, and campfire.

It's called emo and I'm not a fan either. There's been a steady influx of emo in rock/metal over the last 10-15 years. It's as if these people shroud themselves in 'emotion' and make it the base of their personality/performance. However I don't think it's a general affliction, listen to bands like Caspian, Torres, London Grammar, Purity Ring. They know how to make emotional music without losing the power of genuinity.
@Funz20229 жыл бұрын
Thx woro, yes, it is an emo type thing, good point. Emo stuff has been around a while, I would even call some of my early songs kinda emoey . . . I also called it 'unearned pain', ha. Yes there are good & great bands today. so much music being made there HAS to be some good stuff!
