Years ago I went to Nashville to see the 50th anniversary of The Weight. It was an amazing all star cast paying tribute to The Band. Nathaniel Rateliff came out and sang Caravan and I was blown away! I had to find out who this guy was! So I hit you tube and loved everything I heard. Then I found SOB and I was hooked. This is the most underrated band in history.

As good as this band is now, I think the best is yet to come. I see such an in touch, modern throw back to R&B that it is probably inevitable that Nathaniel will write another song ( or 10 ) that will tell the world they will be a classic rock band that will have a lasting impression on music as a whole. In April of this year, Rolling Stone magazine did an article on "Nathaniel Rateliff's Long Shot and the Night Sweats" and the reviewer David Fricke said that when the band was on Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show that Paul McCartney called him the day after the show and asked "Who was that guy? He was fantastic!" How much would you swoon if a Beatle liked your singing and playing? What a great endorsement. Myself, meh. What do you guys think?
