Well actually I would say this may be his most personal album yet. He very clearly is putting a considerable amount of heart into this album, which was inspired by the death of his adopted father. Another question I might ask is if you have listened to the album in it's entirety because it is a radical departure from his previous sounds. This album is almost all acoustic and has none of the fuzz he has gotten known for. Listen to the full album a few times and it'll grow on you.

I took the time to rhyme, write three chords, half heart the lines. Perform imperfections to a fault. Keep on playing way past fates call for a halt. My band are rookies my writing is worse some say this infliction is a spited witches curse. Get aff youtube you tube(hollow head).

Perfectionism is foolhardy, fanaticism isn't healthy, and fate is a misleading doctrine.
@burtgallagher649910 жыл бұрын
Even fools hardly expect perfect but to fall this short is dispiriting, to see that opportunity wasted on a seemingly unpracticed act is a cultural knife in the back. Fanaticism would not have lead to my previous statement, rather a quick stream of conscious word puke came from my critical viewing of some strangers performance. Fate is only a doctrine if you take its meaning from anyone but yourself, it is only misleading if you didn’t read its entire significance in context. I do hope these lads have practiced and got better, but what I watched on this video was upsettingly beige. ^__^
@soullessdevice10 жыл бұрын
I like that definition of fate. I don't know about it falling short; I enjoyed the performance at least. I think he doesn't always strive to put forth his best but rather take it easy and have fun on occasion. This would be one of those.

@mrmapegothe13th8 жыл бұрын
Why not?
@Noils8 жыл бұрын
Because it's contrived and insincere
@mrmapegothe13th8 жыл бұрын
Niall Skinner Contrived? Possibly, but so are a lot of things in music. For the record, despite me not naturally talking in a southern/bluesy style accent, I do so when singing. Why? Because most of the singers I grew up listening to sounded like that and its what sounds natural. Insincere? That makes no sense. I don't see how you can be sincere about singing in a certain accent. Did you ever think that perhaps he simply likes how it sounds? I myself tend to use an English accent when singing Bowie, Barret, or Beatles tunes, because it sounds good, natural and fitting. Regardless, it's his music, and he can do what he wants. It's completely harmless, and just because you seem to be offended by it doesn't mean he should do it.
@mattrobert58 жыл бұрын
he doesn't, he sings in an English accent, that wasn't exactly Irish or Scottish was it. He, like most normal people, probably grew up with Bowie, as the sleeper album was very Bowie in style and the voice is very Bowie.
