I had the chance to talk with him for probably 15 minutes after one of his recent shows; he was anything but arrogant. Quite a down to earth guy, actually! Great musician too!

seems like a coping mechanism for dealing with nervousness when playing live, had the same experience as @Michael Crowley when I talked to him after one of his shows, very sweet and down to earth guy when speaking face to face
