Hi Kevin and one and all, I've been playing around with I V IV ii in the key of C but thanks for explaining to me what I was doing! I just liked it but until now didn't know why.

Good lesson Kevin, thank you. However, I may be missing a trick here (been known), but what elements make the formula I ii iii IV V vi dvii?
@BeverlyTilton Жыл бұрын
I like I, vi, IV, V progression but I think it sounds better if I substitute G7 for G.

How do you make a Bdim?

What is B diminished, other than another chord I'll struggle with???
@VeryNaughtyBoy423 жыл бұрын
From any major chord triad, a minor has a flattened 3rd note, and a diminished has flattened 3rd and 5th notes. B major is B/D#/F#. B minor (flattened 3rd) = B/D/F# (because flattening D# makes it just D). B diminished (flattened 3rd and 5th)= B/D/F.

I have learned that there is a lot of math in music, but I got an F in math in high school 65 years ago. So I don not think there is much hope in doing math stuff with my uke. And there is not much short (or long term) memory available ether. SO play on.
