I learned the version of this lesson years ago. I worked with a guy from India and I was tuning around on the radio and came across what to me sounded like Indian music. And I said hey some Indian music he said no that is Pakistani in a very strong voice.

The Balkan part of Europe shares a lot of similarities with the Near East because of the Ottoman Empire. The Turks conquered the Arabs, the Caucasus, and the Balkans and certain foods and even music started to be shared throughout.

I was picking up food for my soldiers and the guy in charge was Macedonian. Started talking all kinds of shit about the Albanian workers at the other dining facility. A lot of these types of restaurants are very particular especially when it comes to the owners. They want to treat the customer with the absolute best service to Make them regular customers. Pretty standard stuff. Makes sense
