this same concept me and my friend use to play for fun during school days during 90's, at library. We use to take a storybook or playbook from library. Then We use to predecide that who will speak which character and which all words to be replaced with fart noises. For example, names, verbs will be replaced with fart sounds. Then we use to narrate the play with all fart sounds, but at very low voice because it was library. I use to think that how weird kind of games we use to play then. But after watching this skit, i think we were not the only weired ones.

I think it is two different styles of comedy the format is virtually the same with the exception of the last season or 2 I think? But the creativity behind the sketches are different. Key explores more concepts uses a more sophiscated style of comedy whereas Chappelle is more straightforward and just as absurd if not moreso. Both comedy styles are both amazing in their own right. While I like the Chapelle show better because they utilize humor in a more superior but simple way, Key and peele is also one of the best sketch shows ever as well.
