Yeah I think so. But I have changed to 3.5mm Poron now. 😅

Nice and relaxing video! I'd recommend to change the keycaps as well, the stock ones sound really hollow

How much mm is the foam what u use ? I need a foam too but idk which mm 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10mm ? Foam

3.5mm is standard for plate foam. Bottom foam generally uses 1~2mm.

Is this possible with the not hot swappable version? I don't want to desolder my switches

You can do simple lubrication and install the bottom foam.But the PCB foam can not be installed without desoldering.

do you have to remove the switches to seperate the pcb from the plate??

Yes, the switch must be removed.

Nice video but i have to say that the noise reduction comes a lot from lubing and not so much from then dambening foam.

You are right, the foam is not thick enough, it has been replaced with 3.5mm Poron.

How thick is that foam you used inbetween the plate and pcb?

The foam in the film is obtained randomly, in fact the thickness does not match. 3.5mm is the standard positioning plate thickness, and this thickness is recommended.

@@wlanamaicp 3mm for hot swap keyboard ,4mm for soldering. You can search with the keyword "plate form". They will be standard 3.5mm.

what type of foam did you use and thickness?

One side Non-Woven and one side EVA.I just want to try it out and it doesn't look bad.But it is not thick enough, so I replaced the 3.5mm Poron foam now.

那塊是一面Eva泡棉貼了一面不織布,我是在書局無意先發現的,不過鍵盤現在已經換成Poron材質的消音棉了。

Sound better after modding, but somehow still sound a bit sketchy. Is it because of the Keycaps?

yes keycaps are real bad (rubber like ABS), I used PBT keycaps on my K4 V2 and it sounded much better (without any other mods)
