Remember, don't hold the fish out of the water while narrating or speaking dialogue. Every second is more stress on that fish. Get the pic and back into the water, then talk about the situation. Love the show, but we have to cognizant at all times of fish stress. These fish were either still spawning or just post-spawn (Given the battle scars on them) and the last thing they need is addition stress.

Merritt is a very special to me, but I never go there to target Musky. If you call the fish 10,000 casts, I'm fishing for something else. However, I've caught 2 there, very special days, those were. And something interesting about Merritt, it is sufficiently far off the beaten path that I'm just not worried about pressure. Great everything in that water, though, Bass, Walleye, Catfish, and Musky. Great video, thanks.

Not pressure but when everyone comes to target musky and not a single one has a net fish will die.... this is a problem

I like how they have a box of 250+ baits but they end up doing Rock Paper Scissors for one lure :)

The best way to destroy a fishery is to name it. You can do all your "look at me" glory hounding without being spot burners. Focking idiots. I encourage everyone to contact your sponsors and let them know what kind of damage they're financing.
@keyesoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
We promote musky fishing and was asked by the Nebraska parks commission to film there to help promote the musky fishing on Merritt. So you can contact them a voice your concerns. You also can contact all of our sponsors I encourage you to do so. I know what they are going to say to you. They pay us to promote new fisheries and the sport of musky fishing.
@troutwrangler21942 жыл бұрын
Coincidentally, they didn't name the "new" flowage they fished in their home state, near his daughters property, in the next episode. It'd be great to see the same ethos here. Too late.
