FINALLY MY MAN GEEBZ IS LISTENING TO BLACK DAHLIA This song is very much an anthem of their second to last album but they have so much more to offer. I can't wait for you to hear more. My recommendation to you? The song "That Which Erodes The Most Tender Of Things". Just absolutely off the walls evil melodies and the lyrics are absolutely fantastic. RIP Papa Trev. We all know that the rest of the guys have what it takes to carry on his legacy, and I definitely agree with you, the new guitarist of this band (since the album Nightbringers) has quite the career ahead of him. The Black Dahlia community is still hurting from Trev's death, but I for one am excited to hear what kind of passion the next album brings.

Brandon Ellis is close to perfection on his guitar playing skills, he has a lot of videos up on his IG and he is insane

He is bad ass for sure

Imo he's similar to Marty Friedman, the crazy vibrato and the phrasing sounds so much like his style

Brandons solos are fucking nasty... Seeing him with Ryan as the guitars with Brian on vocals now is just fucking perfection for me with Papa Trev gone... Brian still writes the vast majority of the riffs and hooks though cos he's always been responsible for the 90% of the guitar writing

Brandon Ellis is undoubtedly one of the best metal guitarists out there. He’s a pretty young guy too. Mental soloist. You’ve gotta check out his solo on the track Sunless Empire. Fucking gorgeous.

All of these guys are talented, but Brandon Ellis (lead guitar) is a special kind of talent. He's sooo good, he did a short vid covering the legendary Eruption solo from Van Halen and absolutely nailed it.

As a Metalhead and remembering what and who Trevor was to the Metal World is Huge.. A hell of a vocalist, but not just that.. He was an extremely kind guy and was loved by so many in the Metal World. As i have seen solo interviews of his and with the band.. But Never had the opportunity to ever see the TBDM. RIP Trevor.💀🤘

one of my biggest regrets as a metalhead is not seeing bdm while trevor was still alive.
@wallbarr Жыл бұрын
@@blankenstein1649 I felt (and sometimes still feel) the same way you do but I just recently saw them live back in May for my first time. Brian really did a great job and put on one hell of a show. I obviously didn't know Trevor, but I have a feeling he'd be proud with Brian's efforts.
@blankenstein1649 Жыл бұрын
@@wallbarr that's good to know. i'd definitely still go see them, it just bums me out that i know i'll never get to see trevor perform. i'm glad his passing didn't break up the band though! bdm kicks every ass.

@@blankenstein1649 Absolutely man. The rest of the band killed it in every way possible as well, easily my favorite live show so far. The energy was out of this world.

They sound so massive live I saw them on a small monster stage back in 2012 in warped tour and it blew my mind how sick it was they were spraying everyone with super soakers (it was in Florida lol) it was hot as balls and man was it a show the pits were nuckinfuts

Please give these guys some more playtime, on or off camera! They've been in the scene 20+ years and they manage to top themselves with every new album. They've gone through a few members but the lineup has been solid with every iteration - they're all stellar musicians. Don't skimp out on the lyrics, they're brilliant.

Rest in peace Trevor. Their guitarist has stepped up since for vocals full time and they've brought back an ex guitarist to continue their legacy. It's bitter-sweet seeing them live without Trevor but I've never felt such conflicting emotions before.

Great choice Geebz! I love this band so much. Brandon Ellis is their new lead guitarist and what a great addition to their sound. His solos are so incredible and such a welcome sound to hear in metal today where you dont hear as many solos. RIP Trevor, the world isn't the same without you brother.

Excellent band. They have great music all the way through but the albums Nocturnal, Deflorate, and Ritual are their best IMO. Front to back awesome songs on those three.

Outstanding choice. I do consider Nightbringers’ solo to equal Tornado Of Souls. I am also fascinated that you could get that sense of what Brandon Ellis brings with this solo that fast. It took me quite a listen to get all of the nuances, techniques and melodies the solo carries

Never liked Black Dahlia, their sound is so flat and commercial like Lamb of God's tone. I can't even finish it honestly, I listen to tons of metal but this is like a flavorless burger my man. Dare I say, a nothing burger 🍔👀
