I rebuild and restore OMC motors at my shop. mostly larger stuff 40HP loopers on up. love your attitude and advice especially on inspection BEFORE ordering parts. Blocks are getting harder and harder to find that haven't been apart and are already .020''-even .040'' over. if it needs sleeves... unless its a really special motor or you have spare blocks... my advice is to move on. could also be cheap and freshwater and its got a great mid, gearcase and trim so might still be worth it but worth noting. subscribed and can't wait to see more! so many ego filled guys dont even use a service manual here on youtube like one older guy from Florida. i stopped watching. he cannot even do proper ignition testing with a load adapter and DVA! cheers.

@@ct1762 interesting, thank you for your comment and kind words. I don’t know everything and have taken advice from many people over the years. Some good, some not so good. I used to have a Kwik way boring bar and would cook the blocks and sleeve myself. Just did not use them enough to keep doing that. More to come!

@@OutboardDad hey thats the way to learn from trusted guys. I learned alot from an old OMC master technician, but the service manual has been invaluable. i send all my blocks out to Jays Block shop in doyle, TN but thats great you learned boring/honing yourself! way more than i can say. i leave that to the pros i screw it up:)
