Deadbeat parents love to say someone “turned you against me”. I had a birth mom like Frankie… baby, you did that on your own! I commend Keyshia’s patience. Facts and dead beat fathers do also. I know mothers should be there but so should fathers, in our race it’s way more deadbeat fathers than mothers🤷🏽♀️ I didn’t understand when I was a child why my dad was never there but my moms boyfriend lived with us and wasn’t around Fue his own kids but he lived with us but acted like we lived with him.🤦🏽♀️ I made sure to not do anything that I saw growing up. I didn’t like that a man lived with us even though we didn’t get hurt I just stuck by what I wanted as an adult and no I’m not perfect. That the only man that would live with me if I had kids would be my husband. And so I got married at 19 and I’m 42 now and yes I have 2 step kids that are older than my kids and I hangout with their mom and the entire family. We all good and always have been. She said I helped her with her kids as a woman and age didn’t know I was 4 years younger than my husband and her because they had their 2 girls when there were 15 and 16. Which now my oldest girls are 27 and 26. And we really don’t say step because I been in their life as long as they can remember and I’m able to go to everything that we did.

Which needs to be discussed.. will never understand the mindset to leave people behind once one makes it to the top. Will never get how it's ok to feel once you've made it or accomplished something that you need to be selective. If one starts to make money, they don't have to give to people who didn't or wasn't there for them. once those people are taken back to their humble beginnings, they look to those very people they left behind

She should not have had to do that tho. Man I remember this. Newfie was so upset with Keyshia. Keyshia just wanted to help and keep everybody together. That second album was the shyt. I know I brought it. It’s sad Frankie couldn’t get away from her demons.

Neffie was toxic but I feel like she was misunderstood and felt unheard. People hate the sound of black women screaming and being loud but don’t want to understand the reasoning behind it.

Imma be honest regardless of ethnic background no one can effectively understand how you are expressing yourself when you are screaming and yelling as a means to convey yourself . It just ends up sounding like low vibrational noise. Some of us go numb to that kind of expression we stop listening and get into fight mood

Please post the full episodes 💜 It was entertainment almost 20 years ago, but today talking about generational trauma is no longer taboo in the black community. I would love to reevaluate and take a note or two (.) R.I.P Frankie- you were the first OG reality mom we all grew to accept and love.

Let's not act like Keyshia wasn't holding it down for the 2000's too!! Besides MJB, everybody was biting them hairstyles Keyshia had as well. She's not only a great artist, she's a trend setter and deserved her success. She really got it out the mud. Give her all her flowers 💐

I loved the show, but Neffie was A LOT! Like, ALL THE TIME! Between the excessive drinking and fighting with everyone, watching her was draining. It also kinda felt like she was happy for Keyshia, but a little jealous over her success; yet protective over her almost possessively.
@user9o777laont3 ай бұрын
Possessive of her probably due to abandonment issues or to show others around them that she’s connected to someone important. Someone famous.

One thing Keyshia did was take care of her family, and I love that for all of them. She literally did everything in her power to get them to be their best AT ANY COST and was the glue until she couldn’t be anymore.

This show was the first time I saw Frankie, and I disliked her IMMENSELY almost instantly. I’ll never forget the scene where Frankie was getting her hair done (that Keyshia paid for), and she was crying to the stylist saying how Keyshia wouldnt allow her to do what she wanted to do, while living in Keyshia’s house at the time. Seriously, I’ll never forget that scene, because she goes “I can’t have a man over”, LIKE, WHAT?????? And alongside Manny, Keyshia’s financial advisor was also an unsung hero. Because there’s a scene in the first season where Keyshia was talking to her financial advisor about getting neffie and Frankie into their own place, and her financial advisor was professionally saying they (Frankie and neffie) can go F themselves, as SHE worked for that money, they can take care of themselves.
