We are currently waiting for our transit to get completed. We are very excited. We have 5 children (3 pre teens) that are looking forward to the extra leg room and hip space. We ordered a long (the middle one) with a medium roof. Eco Boost V6. However, we added the navigation which was about $1500. It is supposed to be a bigger screen than what this one you are showing is. again, we are very excited to get our new van :)

can you use this for long road trip? Also, does it catchup to 80ml and stay there? heard they topple on highways?

The base naturally aspirated engine is a 3.7L V6 and the Ecoboost V6 is the twin-turbo 3.5L...learn the products you're selling Ryan. Thanks for showing it on video.

There is flaw with transit van that is has small screen for backup camera. For full size van it should have sync 3 with blis with cross traffic alert as standard features to increase safety.

Hey Ryan Drives TV, this is really great review of Ford Transit. I needed your comment about my upcoming trip that we are planning. We have 8 adults and 4 kids and planning to have trip to New Mexico from Texas which is about 11-13 hrs of journey one way. Do you think this vehicle is good to go for such long trip considering we have kids. How does it give with respect to comfort for such long distance to passengers? Would it make sense to opt this vehicle from rental service for a long distance travel?

Excellent video Ryan, lots of useful information. Just one point, you mentioned a choice on wheelbase, I was under the impression that the wheelbase remained the same just the body has various lengths, can you confirm ?

Do these rollover easily?
@FloridaFrank20106 жыл бұрын
The ones that really rollover easy are the 15 passengers that the car manufacturers 'bolted on' those extra 4 seats in the back. This is because the weight is far aft of the rear axle, and if you cut the van hard on a turn with a lot of weight back there - it's going to want to keep the same direction and that's where the rollover comes from. Dodge was the absolute worst, followed by Ford, then GM. Granted, most of the designs have changed to a much safer design with a properly placed rear axle, but best to drive them slow and easy. =)
@7LEVEN916 жыл бұрын
No they have a very good center of gravity suspention can do 65 to 70 on dirt roads regularly if your into that kind of thing
@texasbeast2395 жыл бұрын
The main problem was temporary use drivers who weren't familiar with this kind of vehicle borrowing one and then overreacting in emergency driving conditions. They might wander off the right shoulder of the road, and instead of slowing down and then slowly reentering the lane, they rushed to get the outer wheels back on the road at high speed. That was just asking too much for a vehicle intended for cruising and not for hard maneuvers. Fat rear ends, single wheel rear axles, and inadequate sidewall/ roof crush reinforcements made the situation even worse because they provided no protection for all those unfamiliar drivers. I am SO happy that we have this kind of superior safety and clever design available to us these days.

YES WHICH LANES ARE BEST FOR CRASH. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED THAT THE BRAKES AND ENGINE ARE UNDERPOWERED. AFTER HAVING 10+ PASSENGERS AND LUGGAGE, YOU WOULD GET THAT ANSWER. I'VE HAD TWO FORDS, ONE A MINIVAN. THEY BOTH STOPPED WORKING AFTER 75K miles. Meanwhile my Toyota minivan has 65K miles and a Lexus which run like a charm.
